No matter the series was drawn, but i personally feel that this was the strongest indian team that played in Australia. India could have won the Sydney test and the series, but its cricket or any sport, sometimes luck favours you, sometimes goes against you.
Then I was 8 years old,2003-04 Border Gavaskar Trophy was drawn!! But team India 🇮🇳 batting beautifully Saurav Ganguly made 144 at Gabba,Rahul Dravid made 233&72 at Adelaide Oval,Virender Sehwag made 195 at MCG,Sachin Tendulkar master class 241* at Sydney!!Just awesome series.
T20 Cricket destroy the beauty of test cricket.... nowadays 200+ run for player is very rare... If I am not wrong Jaiswal, Brook and Root are the only players to score 200+ in test.

Both Steves denied us a series victory 1) Steve Waugh by his match saving innings in the final test. 2) Steve Bucknor by his horrible umpiring. India is yet to lose a bilateral test series against Australia after the full fledged introduction of DRS.
Why do we forget in that series McGrath and Warne both were not there, imagine their bowling if these 2 players were there india would've not managed to retain BGT for sure
@@sohitbansal2814 Strange man.. did I ever demean the victory, the problem is we are always thinking in binary, this was surely a terrific performance but it indeed is not the greatest tour for India down under because Australia majorly lost that series cause of lack of experience in bowling, 85-4 in Adelaide and then that partnership where Australians actually looked clueless. Australia had no business losing that test match if there bowling was complete. Yes It was a great achievement for Indians but this was what it was.
