Metalcore now is just not the same cuz it was so new then and boundaries were being pushedevery year lol but nowadays it's like hearing everything on repeat from that era😂😂😂😂 was so exciting back then... I truly miss this time 💔😭
I asked Mikey D years ago and he said he tuned it like a regular 6 but had two high D strings. So CGCFADD. The double high strings create a sitar-like drone, super nice for cleans.
i feel you, man. I was converted 2005, hearing As I lay Dying's 'Darkest nights' and then was hungry for all new stuff related to 'metalcore' moniker, or any new metal music at that point. Then 'As Daylight dies' was which blown me away and i became full KsE fan. And these times - mid of 00s was my best one. Miss it.
I'm going through this right now. No bands satisfy me expect old nu metal and metalcore. There's afew bands like wage war and crystal lake that are good but I've not found any bands that have made me feel how parkway drive, all that remains, and Killswitch have made me feel. Am I just old?
I was blessed to be apart of that era and learning guitar and writing songs at that time
