Can we appreciate MHA for using side characters in such important roles for the final fight? I can't stress enough that this is rare to see in many anime/manga of this style
The other 'superhero world' anime that famous would be One Punch man, and of course Saitama is the main focus and other characters is just created to hype him 💀
Watching this show for the first time when I was still in high school was like a the dream shounen. I had already seen Naruto Shippuden but the way season 1 was for MHA was 1'000'000% better, the pacing, character development for each character. And I've been waiting for their growth all this time and it feels so nice to finally pay it all off. I have withheld myself from all spoilers, avoided the manga for so long after reading season 4 because I wanted to wait to see the animation and its been so amazing. Bout to go watch s7e18 after re-binging the entire show for the past couple days. All my friends were shitting on this show and now they're glazers.
To explain the Shiggy hesitation: AFO tried to make Shiggy use decay when the heroes just emerged. But that would have killed all the villains around too. Shiggy faught back looking at Dabi, cause in a very twisted way they are comrades. That’s why his hand was shaking so much, while it was moving closer to the ground and why he said “Dabi” (who in turn thought Shiggy was just going to order him around). In “coffin in the sky” AFO basically takes over control again and immediately uses decay and warns Shiggy “do not get in the way again other me”. It’s a reminder once more, that Shiggy has some redeemable qualities. It is also pretty cool, because Shiggys theme, that was played when he killed his family is called “I don’t kill my friends”.
Well...if you can’t already tell by my pfp, I am a fan of Shiggy’s character!! 😅 So of course I had to hop to his defense when I saw a weird debate recently all over tik tok and twitter. Some people are seemingly convinced that Shigaraki would mistreat any potential partner he had and just overall be horrible or abusive to them. Part of it is because he was raised by AFO I guess?? But it’s as you said-Shigaraki does have some redeemable qualities (and clearly he does not always like or agree with AFO’s schemes). I thought it was a strange thing to think tbh especially because we’ve seen that he doesn’t even treat the LoV that way. He may be a villain, but Shigaraki cares about his friends/comrades.

I mean All Mght And Star and Stripe couldn't defeat All for One, I am curious hw this is going to play out! I don't wanna think about Mirko or any possible hero being taken down in this fight, for now!
For the AFO match up, it’s pretty risky i must say. Sure they can send more people other than Hawk and Endeavour but you need to consider that AFO can steal their quirk. So it pretty risky to have all powerful hero there where the worst case scenario they all got defeated and AFO just got major power up. There are few notable heroes that also fighting AFO but i will let you see it in future episode.
3:35 You know what, with how clever was use of Monoma in the end. I still don't understand why they didn't just use him before to copy All For One, and then use that to steal it from AFO. Or at the very least to take multiple quirks he took - including Search from one of the Wild Wild Pussycats. 5:25 So we don't ever address it - but Crust is mentioned to have a hero team with his younger brother, and as this person appear in both manga and anime and that he has different hair colour than Crust - we can assume it is in fact his brother. 12:10 Erasure doesn't work on Mutation quirks as they are integral part of someone's body - there is no activation element that could be stopped. Like if he looked at Tokoyami - he wouldn't suddenly lose his bird-like features, but he (likely) wouldn't be able to use Dark Shadow. This quirk Shigi uses is simialar to Tentacole's multiple arms - it's just super powered growth, because of all the Mutation quirks AFO collected. It's similar to all the Nomus, that had multiple physical mutation quirks that just made them so powerful.

Sure he copy Bakugo explosion and Kirishima hardening instantaneously, since their quirk is pretty simple compared to AFO. It might been a blank for him too since he can’t copy OFA and idk if AFO quirk is a stockpile one. Next we don’t know how many quirks does AFO have so it pretty risky to have Monoma touch him cause he is a very valuable person since Aizawa can’t use his quirk anymore. He could get killed if he get too close to AFO.

He can't copy the stockpile - which is also why he can't really use for example Fatgum's quirk, because that needs fat to be stockpiled. But we very much see OFA lightning effect Deku has when using his quirk. The same way he likely wouldn't be able to copy any quirks AFO stole, but he would still be able to get AFO. Also you know - they fully had Aizawa there and multiple cameras ready to strike AFO. If anything this would also fit into AFO plans, as he already pushed his own quirk into Shigaraki, himself using only the artificial copy of it. This would make Monoma an alternative host.
Either way - should have shot him long ago when they had a chance. Even, if capital punishment isn't legal in "New" Japan - All Might would probably gladly stay in prison for the rest of his life, if AFO was properly gone. And with Aizawa's quirk no regeneration should have been possible there.

exactly and i freaking love it, they put a huge twist that's not just the main characters as always who's on the spotlight.

Note that the finger amalgamation wasn't a quirk, because they already erased it. That's why he said Aizawa isn't cool anymore.
Well it was a quirk, but it is mutation based quirk - which Eraser can't cancel. It's similar to Tentacole's arms.
