Whole album is brilliant !! This one is one of my fav's !!! Its just great that some other people from somewhere else in the world love DION and his songs too !!! Thanx very much !!!
This is so frigging good...it's just completely amazing. He's the best, there ain't no better. One of the most natural entertainers I've ever seen...it's been a long time since thinking Runaround Sue was just the coolest thing my adolescent ears had ever heard. .
Mr D has walked a road that most of us would find uncomfortable. He has had many rebirths, but he has not lost the original flame. Glad he's still around, making music us old fartz can appreciate and understand. Need to tour to CHI-Town Mr D.
Ivebeen a dion fan since I saw him on the smothers Brothers show around 68 . Singing Abraham Martin and John. I remember keyn in wichita played his song cant help but wonder where I'm bound 69. I always remembered the song. His version was so much better than the others I'd heard. Not very important to anyone but me but that twinkle star song by the elegants was the song that played when I met and during the time I dated my first girl friend. Wow radio Omaha played it.
Steve Cropper is right at home with Dion. neither is intimidated by the other and Both are masters at what they bring to the table. thank you for posting this video!
He's really better than ever - check out his more recent cds (or really, anything from Return of the Wanderer on) and be ready to hear one of the greatest voices in rock. Dion rocks!
wow the dude just gets better and better. the band has got to be dions' top choice lineup. A friend of mine owned a club in long branch n.j. , and late 90's dion calls the club on the phone around 9 in the morning and says" this is dion, I want to play your club once a week for a month. wish i was on the street then. I was wearin jewelry, and it wasn't gold.
New York City, when it was REAL! Before the greedy scumbags took over. Dion IS NYC! The video is even more reminiscing, reminds me of the real NYC--Lou Reed sings back-up, Paul Simon does the "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" part. Joan Jett is exiting a subway station, Dave Edmunds on guitar, of course. I really miss the NYC I lived in, during the late '80's. But I grew up in NJ, so I heard all of it, even when I was a little kid...
The underlying chords remind me of "Sultans of Swing". Has anybody worked this out? Being the worlds only tone deaf guitarist it will take me days!!. Yo Frankie and Deja Nu are must have albums. I once sat on the edge of the stage at the Stone Pony for an entire show. It does not really come through in these videos but his voice has a pure bell tone to it live. His acapella version of Springsteen"s "If I Should Fall Behind" is magic.
This is amazing! Got chills when he sang the Twinkle Little Star part! Love Dion since I was a kid.
🎸☮️🌍 Wish I could see a live show of DION SOMEDAY....

61 year old Brit loves Dion's music. Yes, definitely underrated by some.
Old rockers rule. !!, Dion one of the all time greats.

I knew a friend of his Rich Flannigan , we went to see him in Ft. Lauderdale in a concert of all the 50's & 60's greats were all there.
Without doubt one of the greatest of the greats.
This is so cool!
This song was, and is my life. He reminds me of so many of the chapters. Funny we never met face to face Dion.

Excellent !!!

It doesn't hurt to have Dave Edmunds produce your record, and Steve Cropper playing with you.Seen theses guys together,What a show!
That's Richie 'LaBamba' Rosenberg on trombone. Was with the Jukes and Max Weinberg's house band on Conan O'Brien.
Dion doing great blues cd's for the past five years.

0 dislikes.....guess that says it all.
Ya still owe us a show in CHI-Town Dion!
Is that our Terry Williams.... Man, The Breeze, Dire Straits and many more? One of Swansea's Finest
Pool halls in the afternoon. Transistors playing Elvis tunes.
MUSICALLY, THIS SONG HAS A "DIRE STRAITS" FLAVOR, BUT LYRICALLY, IT IS REMINISCENT OF DION'S GENERATION (50'S & 60'S). NICE SONG, GREAT VIDEO
@coyotesong Agreed, and he's done nothing but get better and better as the years roll on. Incredible!
Oh my, The King And Mr. Cropper!
AND La Bamba, too, I believe!
Guess that no thumb down comments says it all about Mr. Dimucci. Ya still owe us a show in Chicago Dion.
cool as the king ov the New York streets, also La Bamba, and the drummer from Dire Straits Pick Withers
i've always considered him above Keith Richards in the 'king of kool' category.
steve cropper is playing lead guitar and yes steven chen is the man when it comes to bass . my idol.
boy from bx rocks on country club
more so, he owns it.
brill
kick the can...i played that game...in newark nj...
Dion took the bus home that day, could not take the plane with Buddy Holly.
@wombchakra La Bomba on trombone
Wowt I guess technically. Omaha.
He looks better than Bono.
So, he went left on us, hmm? He lost the fifties.
