i know smant isn’t american but it’s a classic american move to equate ‘knowing where the us states are’ to ‘knowing where actual countries are’ lol tell me where suffolk, lancashire and durham are smant. go on. hell, tell me where wales is - that one is even a country of its own so im sure most north americans could place it on a map right?
@ Oh, we’re going by landmass? Ok then. Russia, Canada and China all have larger landmasses than the US. Presumably all of their provinces are also common knowledge?
@ The point I’m trying to make is that states are just not the same as countries. And no, despite what people say, they are not just as different from each other. I think it’s honestly understandable that people don’t know where lots of countries in other continents are. American or not, it’s the kinda knowledge you don’t really need. I just think it’s a really silly and honestly kinda annoying response when people say ‘well, do you know where all the US states are then????’
@ fair, the states variation is similar to the UK in its dialects and slight cultural shifts but is no where near comparable to the diversity of all of Europe. Those of us that grew up in states with a good education system are taught the 50 states early on but are also taught the Canadian provinces and the Central American countries as those are all part of the colonization history the US is a part of. You’d have to take a specific European history class or South America history class, etc. to be taught and tested on those countries. None of which are required courses.
@flar420 its not true, i seen this reaction in chat only in american community. For example in my contry ai things thery popular and this reaction from chat about joke-song with rules is very strange to me
@@maximilian8232 flar is being disingenuous. Most people don't care about AI. there's just a group of people who like to be upset about everything here and flar falls into that category.
@@flar420the statement about the majority is of course funny. but what interests me more is this. did the people from that daily game have to hire musicians to write and play a song for them for the joke in the rules?)

I mean there are 44 countries in Europe taking up a similar size of land to the 50 states in America. Is very comparable.
@ Oh, we’re going by landmass? Ok then. Russia, Canada and China all have larger landmasses than the US. Presumably all of their provinces are also common knowledge?
@ no but would be more relevant to them.. and is more relevant in their schooling as well.. not sure what point you are trying to make.

Americans dont like ai?
he's not even American lmfao, most people don't like AI generated things which are better made by humans, like songs, art, stories, etc.

@@calebgigachad6705 I got it, I was just really surprised when I saw the chat reaction. I've never seen anything like that, it's really weird.
