    Thanks for posting this Queen! I am a single mama trying to move to Tampa in 2-months with my 6 year old and 2 year old. I’m nervous and want to ensure I’m making the best decision for us. I’ve contemplated going back to Dallas (was there for a year) but Florida is where we want to stay.

      OMG! I am so happy for you queen. You got this! I LOVE living here! I was thinking about moving to Dallas because it is so expensive here for no reason but I don't think I can leave. I love living by the water and having this weather. How did you like Dallas?

    • @TiffanyShanell
      @TiffanyShanell ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mamicitaaa Thank you, Goddess! Dallas was nice, clean, and beautiful. People were SO friendly (that was a highlight for me) but there were many times we were bored. Most likely due to not knowing anyone or places to visit. However, when my children and I visited Florida Feb 2022 we had so much fun! There are more activities we are interested in doing there than in Dallas. Thank you for your insight and for making this video! We can't wait to move here over the Summer. Do you mind giving insight into how the people are? That's one thing I LOVE about Texas is people are kind and helpful.

    Really awesome video! My wife and I wanna make the jump and move to Florida we’re both in our late 20s and we wanna see how the Florida lifestyle would be like. We’re from New Jersey, how has it been for you leaving your hometown? Does that feeling of being far from family and friends kinda lessen the longer you’re there?

    • @mamicitaaa
      @mamicitaaa  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      When I moved I honestly did not visit home once. I also did not really enjoy my hometown that much. I felt that I could reach out to my family by phone and I was fine. I feel that I may not be the best at answering this question because I was ready to get away from my hometown.

    Great video. I want to move to Florida soon myself, specifically Miami. I was there for vacation in June for 12 days, and I absolutely loved it. The only con is that it’s very expensive to live there. Now I’ve also recently became very interested in Tampa too. It seems very beautiful! Like Miami, but more laid back, and cheaper. That being said, I think Tampa will be my next destination after Miami.

    • @mamicitaaa
      @mamicitaaa  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Miami is literally so nice! I felt the same way about Miami. Tampa is more chill and a little less expensive for sure! At least Tampa is just a drive from Miami.

    • @MarcusAGreene
      @MarcusAGreene 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mamicitaaa Do you find the people in Florida to be friendly? Florida is known for being one of the rudest states, especially in Miami, but that was far from the case when I was there. Everyone I met was very nice and friendly, and I felt welcomed there. Every time I came to my Airbnb building, strangers even said hello with a smile, and held the front door open for me.
      Now the driving part is a different story, lol. Not a hoax.

      @@MarcusAGreene that is very true. TX drivers are worse than FL drivers though. I feel like everyone is FL drives slow and likes to be in the passing lane going slow lol I just stayed away from Walmart in FL and I was good. I just went to publix. lol

    How is the cost of living & jobs. I’ve been thinking about Tampa but currently live in Denver right now & it’s extremely high basically like Cali maybe a tad bit cheaper & I want to live somewhere cheaper where I’m by the water since I’m originally from Connecticut but I want to make sure they have good jobs still because it doesn’t make sense if the cost of living is cheaper if the job market is bad if you know what I mean…thanks for your time wishing you the best on your journey

    • @mamicitaaa
      @mamicitaaa  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the jobs may depend on your field and experience. I was able to easily find jobs in my field (teaching) but when I attempted to look for job opportunities outside it I only had luck with 2 companies but the salary/cost of living did not make sense. The rent for 1 bedroom apartments are 1600+ for something decent/nice lol At the moment I’m having to go with what makes the most sense salary/cost of living wise. Updates coming soon. If you’re moving here with a partner y’all got this for sure but if you’re single I’d say make sure you have a nice salary. I LOVE living here though. I hope that helps.

      Congrats on your soon to come move! As far as teaching, my experience was not very pleasant until the 2nd semester. The first school was rough and I transferred to a better school in Jan. Teachers here are super underpaid. I’d recommend Pinellas County over Hillsborough County. & join the teacher groups on Facebook to be get info on schools. I think children can thrive here! & with the beach and weather how can you not love it! lol
