You mentioned hiding the cord. A super easy hide is to take paint in the exact wall color and paint the entire cord allow to dry completely and it may take 2 or 3 coats but then you dont have to hid with bulky cord covers. Sample cans of the paint can be purchased for a few dollars from the hardware store or place where you purchased the paint originally. If you don't know the color. You can take a picture of the paint and most stores that mix paint can match paint from your sample picture.
About the cord you’re trying to hide, have you thought about painting it white..? That would definitely take care of the problem! The black is kind of an eye sore imo🙈😅
