Ahh highborne, the first cut I went through in the exhumas. Got there right before sunset and was our destination to anchor for the night. Well long story short, I found myself grounded on the sandbar just off of the main cut and learned to kedge my anchor. Such good times. Sucked while it happened, but met some really great fellow cruisers that came to help, and now turned to a fond memory that I laugh about. I have so much respect for you guys living your best life with so limited resources.
Sailing life (not so much the sailing part) gets into your blood and, once experienced, is very hard to get away from…..once a sailor, always a sailor.
Love you guys! So glad to be going to the Bahamas with you again. Yes, I went to Atlantis in the late 80s when it was free. My mom became lost and I spent the whole time searching for her. Not a fun memory. Safe travels. ❤
You guys show us every week how well you live in and love the journey. It's true that we never know when we'll breathe our last breath so here's to all the breaths enjoyed in between. Love you guys 🤗💞
"a symphony". Perfect, Brandy. And that song makes me remember Patrick Childress as they used it on their vids. Yep, snuck into Atlantis back then too! Love the dehydrated fruits, veg. Need to try that. Be well, my friends & fair winds.
I really hope i bump into you guys out there one day, you seem like very genuine people, on the keto diet, don't drink, don't smoke, my kind of people. Great video, keep them coming
Nice to see you guys in warmer waters. I have always enjoyed your sailing videos and the drone shots. There has never been a truer quote, loved it. As always be safe but have fun. ⛵🇺🇸
Great to see the food drying part. I've watched too many videos of fruit and avacados in hanging nets. You make much much more sense with the rehydration of the veggies etc. Thanks for that splash of reality.
Hey guys, thanks for sharing this one. I started living aboard around the same time as you. You and Uma solidified my decision to go electric. Though with a few recent events I've been struggling with justifying why I am sailing, well more allowing myself to question it because of the number of people telling me I need to settle down. It is comforting seeing that there are others out there that are doing it just for the love of the freedom and exploration with nothing to prove, thanks. With that I am now planning on crossing the Atlantic and basing myself in the Caribbean for a bit, and when you spoke about your composting toilet, it got me wondering where do you dump whilst out there? I've also got composting, when sailing the Greek islands I used to bury it, but that has not always been possible in more populated areas of the med and Europe, so keen to heat about your experience that side.
Had to watch the video twice because I was focused earlier on the sale at the grocery store on ice cream. Lol. Yeah, I woke up early to get there first. Shameless. 😁 Great job you two
Brandy, the dehydrated veggies are great idea, but probably a lot more time consuming and maybe more work than doing salt brine lacto fermentation. The fermentation is also good for keeping the gut buddies happy. If you like sour kraut, yogurt, and or kimchi, you're likely to enjoy the slight tanginess of lacto fermented veggies. Although i can see the storage advantage of dehydrating, and the taste will be closer to original. If you have not yet, give it a try some time.
We all admire you for a budget life sailing, videos are becoming same same. Hope for something different from you, love to you both ❤ Ps. Autopilot calibration takes a 720 degree turn, not impossible!! Could please do a sailing budget video, the costs petrify me as an ex sailor, they are very popular on TH-cam!
Powdered kayle ! 😁. Great in soups, smoothies, sauses. 🤗 Yummy. 💖. Love your channel. Enjoy & cherish every day. We do not know what tomorrow will bring. Cheers 💖. S/V Cork~Texas 🇺🇲⛵ 🐬🐕
That Stir fry look delicious Brandy. I been wondering what you Sailors been upto. I had a question i wanted to ask Beau (i be stalking and pestering him with questions. i swear i wanted to ask about the latrine yall use. lol Thank you Beau, again. )

If your a sailor and don’t have a boat , then your just between boats .

If you can't find coconut husk for the head you can use peat moss or top soil
Peat moss was another hard one to find.
I love this channel. Real sailing on a realistic budget. Very refreshing.
That's so cool, Dehydrating stuff is smart. Have you looked into canning? Like for meats n stuff?
we have, but not quite there yet :)

Thank you! The Bahamas is pretty lacking as a land of tropical fruits or really anything that grows from the earth.
Great video, thoughtful philosophy. You two are the best!!
Thanks so much! 😊❤️

True sailors. You guys are THE BEST!!! 😎❤️😎❤️😎🥰
Great video and interesting to see you used a dehydrator and storage for this as looking to do the same :)

Sail on! Be safe out there 🙏 ❤️
So soothing. May God bless you and keep you safe.
Love the voice over, like a sailing poem ❤😊
Hey boat neighbors. Im anchored 80 yards to your East waiting for my dingy patch to dry. Dig your Channel. S/V Kota

Your best video ever. Great drone shots, and you explained what sailing is really like.
WOW thanks :)

What would you like to know 😃?

Was that a jar of bud on the seat in the beginning?
😂🤣 that was a jar of sprouts.

Hey guys❤❤❤❤
HEYYY!!!!
Is that belt loose on your motor?
Do the mosquitoes and no-see-ums come all the way out to your anchorage to bother you ???
They sure will! Especially if there is no wind.
...'why we are sailing...' y'all in Witness Protection ~ lol!!!
Lol
the master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.
You made edible potpourri !
Hahaha. I’m totally going to call it from now on😂🤣😂🤣
