Thank you so much this makes automations way easier to understand! I just had one question. When the subscribers are done with the welcome sequen e, how do we start sending weekly newsletter once a week to them?
hi! I found the tutorial really helpful but i fo have one more question. Is it possible to end the sequence not only when they open but also when they reply? Thanks!
Hello, thanks for the valuable video! Can you please show us (or answer me) how to create a data-based email automation? For examble: I want to send several emails before a specific date and aftar that date too. I know that I have to add to the audience "date field". But how exactly do I determine the date before which I want to send the emails? In the "Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags" section there is a field called "Default merge tag value", do I have to fill in the date there? Thank you in advance!
Thanks, Stewart. Wonderful tutorial. I understand that Mailchimp doesn't support the selling of monthly subscriptions. I want to offer as part of my automated campaign the option to purchase monthly or yearly subscription plans. Mailchimp says that it supports Stripe, and then Zapier as a way to bring the automations back into Mailchimp. Do you have experience with this, or a better idea? Thank you.
Hey Graham, Yes you can do this in a few different ways. Depends whta platform your use for selling your subscriptions. You can also, simply link to PayPal to collect and setup recurring payments.
I want to send abandon cart emails, first purchase email. as well as post treatment email and customer recovery emails Can I make a single flow within one journey or I need to made different journeys. If different journeys then how to integrate them all
Hey mate, It's best to make independent flows based on the goal that you want to run. These all have different objectives, therefore you would have to set up multiple email sequences.
@@StewartGauld I have 3 different emails I want to send through a customer journey but for the same audience. So depending what they want to sign up for they will get a different email with something for them to download. At the moment I have done separate customer journeys for each email however I don’t think that is correct because I only have the 1 link for the sign up form.
@@StewartGauld I have this same question!! I'm not sure if Mailchimp is worth the paid plan because I still haven't figured out how to do this. I want to have multiple different lead magnets (or freebie PDF downloads for my blog). In order to do that, I need to send different emails to different subscribers in my audience. I've tried mutliple audiences and that is way complicated. As the previous commented said, I don't think that's right either. How can I have one audience, but depending which sign up form they subscribed at determines which email response they get with their freebie download?
Okay! Here's a problem. I created the whole email automation in active campaign tool and activated the automation. I added my 3 other email address in contact but i got no emails from the automation process on those addresses. What should i do??😐😐
When I am done with the customer journey and its turned on, how do I create a link that can I add e.g. to my Instagram post, so when they click on the link they will be redirected to the mail automation sign up. I just dont know how to create a link via which audience can sign up to the automated emails I have created.
@@StewartGauld thank you so much, it works now. Also if I want to include the sign up for automation on my website, should I just use Sign up forms - Embedded form in the Mailchimp ?
Hey, Good question. This depends on your trigger. The easiest way is to add them to your email list through the trigger like adding them through your landing page or subscriber form on your website.
i follow all these steps, even upgraded my account. but it still doesnt work. every time i add a contact or someone subscribes they never receive any emails. what im a doing wrong???

Is it possible to send different emails off of the one audience? For example, if you have 3 different freebies?

when was the mailchimp automation system change?
Hey mate,
I'm not sure on the date, but this new feature is relatively recent. They also got bought out by Intuit not long ago.

Hey,
Make sure you have the right trigger selected to initiate your email flow.
When I am done with the customer journey and its turned on, how do I create a link that can I add e.g. to my Instagram post, so when they click on the link they will be redirected to the mail automation sign up. I just dont know how to create a link via which audience can sign up to the automated emails I have created.
Hey,
You will need to create a landing page first and then connect that to the automation. So when someone signs up they will enter the automation.
@@StewartGauld thank you so much, it works now. Also if I want to include the sign up for automation on my website, should I just use Sign up forms - Embedded form in the Mailchimp ?
How do you make sure your email contact list / segments within Mailchimp is tied to the Automation Sequence?
Hey mate,
You just want to select the right audience and segments if you have multiple for the customer journey you are creating.
