I'm pretty sure they literally did that. Jokes aside it's genuinely sad how the sheer monstrosity of how the Star League treated the Taurians forever changed them into a faction of completely terrified people who now see terrorism as just another method of war.
Yeah the Taurians would raid the shit out of supply lines which slowed in the invasion to an ass grinding halt but they were the only one with a navy but couldn't matter 1:1 so I don't blame them for going that route.
One of the most stupid side effects of the Reunification War was that instead of the Federation and the Concordat becoming a "Freedom Rocks" tag team and the the best of friends and close allies (especially against the Capellans), the Fed Suns made the Taurians a paranoid thorn in their side. The Taurians were convinced that the ONE GOAL of every First Prince of the Federated Suns was conquering the rest of the Concordat, not the Capellans, and certainly not the Kuritans. All those stories about Kentares and the legendary hatred of everyone in the Draconis March for anything remotely Japanese (anime was friggin ILLEGAL on Robinson) was just a MIIO Psyop to try and convince the Taurians that Federation had bigger fish to fry and wasn't planing on invading sometime in the next three months. And when the Federation didn't invade three months down the road - it was just proof that House Davion had a sneakier plan to invade another three months down the road. So, instead of having an ally against the Capellans, the Federation had to constantly defend its border with the Concordat, because they were always staging deep penetration raids against targets in the "southern" part of the Federation (to scout for those invasion forces they knew were preparing to attack the Concordat, or damage their supply lines). Indeed, ultimately Sun Tzu Liao was able to exploit the Taurians paranoia to sucker the Concordat into an alliance against the Fed Suns that made the FedCom civil war that much harder on the Federation, and then during the Jihad the Concordat actually invaded the Fed Suns and took back nearly all the worlds the Fed Suns got from the Taurians in the Reunification War.
The Taurian beef with the Fedrats is even older than that. Their first contact with the Inner Sphere was a survey expedition finding a Davion slave labor camp and liberating the prisoners. Davion troops basically raided some Capellan world and weren't satisfied with the POWs they snagged and just started grabbing any civilians nearby to stock up their local "POW" labor camp. When word reached Taurus, only then did the Taurians actually start arming themselves seriously and creating the warship fleet that eventually became second only in size to the Terran Hegemony. All to protect themselves from "Spheroid barbarians". Seems like that first impression really made the Davion's freedom boner look really two-faced and treacherous. Which wasn't helped by the Feddie encouraging the crippling of the Concordat post-war so that they'd never again be a peer rival to them. hi
