Is there a reason you chose not to go with automatic waterers or a built-in slow hay feeder in the corner where the small feed gate is?
That’s what we had and it made going out to feed 2-3x a day 1000x easier than having to deal with filling/hanging hay nets or keeping water buckets topped off.
