Welcome to Bijou’s Be Well Bundle - Day 06
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are embarking on a 21 Day Zentangle Journey with our dear friend Bijou. During this challenge, we will delve into one Bijouism and one tangle on a Bijou tile each day. We invite you to find 15-20 minutes each day to tangle along with us, Bijou, and the Zentangle Community, allowing your pen to soothe your soul.

I enjoyed todays lesson. I love learning the embellishments and practicing. Since I didn’t have a green micron pen, I used green cored pencil with a little black. Thank you for the lessons ❤

I love the way Maria shaded the leaves. Not crazy about the green Micron background. I think I would go with a green pastel outline then draw it out to the edge with a tortillon.
I also wanted to take the green micron into a thin edge line on the opposite side of the tile.

The curious question of the day: the symbolism/meaning, or perhaps practical structural reason, behind the choice of diagonal string and tangling one half of the tile at a time?
I'm a quilter and we call this "block" a half square triangle block. I love it because you can make a seemingly endless number of patterns with this block (tile).
I wonder if that was one reason for choosing this string - both simple and flexible. 😊

Why are you leaving 1/2 the tile EMPTY?
I have asked on every video and I get NO answer
Because they want to? Because that’s the style they decided on for this series? To show that you don’t have to fill out every bit of a tile to create something beautiful? Because it helps create the mosaics shown at the end of every video so far in this series? Because it’s their zen? If it’s in your zen to fill the tile, do it! I don’t see it written anywhere that these tiles must be copied….
