Your Battery box looks good to me however I'm not an electrician buy trade, I'm a retired CNC Machinist, but my Dad & Grandpa were electricians that both worked for Lockheed for 50 years. They taught me enough to wire my own CNC Machine shop in my garage for 3 phase power to run all 4 CNC Machines simultaneously, three Haas CNC Vertical Mills and one Mori Seki CNC Lathe all of them with 8 to 10 automatic tool changers. I ran that shop for a decade and sold everything when I retired at 62. Keep up the good work it's fun to watch, I'm looking forward to your A/C installation. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Family.
Looks good 👍!
Nice System, been running the same set up over here for our first season on property...solid
It looks real good. Probably beyond what I would be comfortable wiring up.
Working great for me. Just back from a couple weeks out traveling. Powers my microwave, coffee pot, computer/camera gear etc. My LiFePO4 batteries never went below 85%.
That is a nice solar system! I had two of the older 100 watt Renogy panels with the Renogy charge controller on one of my earlier RVs, a 2011 Wolf Pup 18' Toy Hauler Travel Trailer and the 200 watt system combined with two large deep cycle lead/acid batteries I had on that trailer ran the 110vac compressor type Refrigerator/Freezer No problem for weeks up in the Back Hills, South Dakota during the bike rally. I almost added two more of those panels to that trailer but a friend wanted to buy it from me real bad and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Sweet! That's a good amount of S power. In the past I used sikaflex with adhesive brackets and had no troubles. Very well thought out design. 👍
Nice. Yeah, that Sikaflex is killer stuff. Beats drilling holes or running screws in through the roof.
Looks real nice & professional! You do great work. I have 320 watts of solar on my camper roof. One day I will upgrade my setup with a better inverter & batteries. Sure wish I had a shop where I could do work on mine. Take care & happy Thanksgiving!
Nice I’m also running 400 watts and 3 100 amp lithium batteries.
👍🏻. Nice. I just finished watching your last trip series through Kansas, Colorado, Utah & Nevada. Great!
With your system, do you feel that you had enough power for everything?
I was considering removing all of my propane system but now I’m thinking I may just modify the LP system so I can just carry a single ground-deploy 20lb cylinder with a quick connect instead of my two 30lb cylinders.
Well I have not been going out of state since covid, but I have been doing a lot of boondocking
For the past 2 years I’m set now also the last 2 years I have been upgrading the truck and camper for a Arctic Ocean /Alaska trip just waiting for diesel fuel prices to come back down I Carrie 2 five lbs propane bottles
So excited about your solar package! I'm currently using the renogy suitcase & genny but had a huge system in our Class A just haven't got around to setting up the TC yet. Love what you're doing to your camper. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Thanks. It’s working well so far. More projects done and videos coming.
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
What are the mounting blocks on the roof made out of?
For your inverter: will you be able to charge your max air / appliances via the plugs on the unit, or will you have it connected to all the outlets currently in the camper ?
The MaxxAir fans are 12V.
I still have it wired to my shore power cord so all outlets and appliances are powered just like shore power would provide. With this new system, I ran new 10/3 Romex wire from the inverter to the shore power plug.
I have a new 2000 watt Pure Sine Wave inverter from Renogy now so I hard wired directly to the inverter.
I’ll do a new video on my boondocking power setup.
I wish I knew more about solar. It’s too confusing for me lol. I’d love to have a setup like this
