    I just got my first sewing machine and I spent hours looking for the best TH-cam channels that could help me learn. Overall, yours has hands down been my favorite! A slip cover for a throw pillow was my first project and it looks so cute in my daughter's room! I could not have asked for a better tutorial. Not only are you a great teacher, but the clean editing and clear visuals make a huge difference. Thank you so much for making these!

    I have an old throw pillow that used to be white but which had become grey through the years. I bought some mild yellow fabric with a diamond pattern to use as a new cover. Everything worked splendidly and I am now the happy owner of a brand-new yellow throw! Thank you!

    Made a small pillow sham cover for my niece.. Black cotton appliqued with huge yellow moon and the most adorable little owl in front of it. The sham cover worked perfectly. My fabric allotment made the fit a bit snug for getting the pillow into it but it LOOKS GREAT!!! Thank you for your help!!

  • @akaPugMom
    @akaPugMom 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks so much for this, Dana. I just made my "first" sewing project in many, many years, and I chose this pillow sham. I really like your idea of having the sham snug against the pillow form, so I used your format for measuring my fabric. I picked up 2 beautiful 20"x20" pillows at Costco (Northern California) for only $16.49, much cheaper than pillow forms at the craft store. The covers turned out great, and now I have washable/changeable pillow shams for the dogs to lay on when chillaxing with us while watching TV!

    This was a fantastic how-to video. I am so pleased with how my pillow turned out. I did use a velvet fabric for my piping which was a bit harder to work with than a regular cotton might have been. My zipper foot was also slightly different than what is shown in this video so I had to really manuever the fabric to get a tight stitch against the piping. Overall, very helpful video and very thrilled with my new skill!

    Thank you for this! I can usually do almost anything, but sewing has always stressed me out, so my sewing machine has been sitting in my closet for years. Your video shows how easy pillows are, however, so I'm looking forward to making some pillows!

    Thank you so much for making this tutorial even though it was years ago.
    It was really helpful and making me determined to make my own Fall style envelope pillows.
    I bought the fabric, now I'm ready to make an attempt at this.
    Hope mine turns out as nice as yours. 🤞😊
