@ Gayathri Umapathy I completely agree. Throughout most of the series, Du Lei treated her way better than the main lead: who constantly bullied her and tried to control where she worked, where she lived and who she was or wasn't allowed to have as a mentor and friend. Even though Du Lei saved her from losing her job twice despite the main lead's efforts to get her fired. I don't understand why some C-dramas depict the woman falling for the guy who belittles and treats her the worst throughout the series while friend-zoning the guy who is always adoring, supportive and also loves her so selflessly that he's willing to wait and be hopeful, loving her for years without jealousy despite her being in love with someone else just hoping one day she'd notice and reciprocate. I don't approve of his recourse but I understand why Du Lei lost it after years of saving and loving her in silence. He walked away from his evil family and was willing to change for her, I too wish she had chosen him in the end.

I feel the sincerity of love to Du Lei towards Jiang Jun that's why I wanted Him to end up with the Female lead. And Du lei never bullied Jiang Jun but instead help her in everything. After all I'm entitled to my own opinion.
