What's up Derek. My out the door cost was $6,126.89. Hell of a deal on a 2020 bike. I live in Michigan and drove to Ohio to pick my bike up. I spent $42 in gas. I asked the dealer why so cheap on the bike ? In a very short answer he said dude we move bikes ! That's the second time I've driven to Ohio to buy a brand new bike. I'm literally coming off the same platform as yourself. I rode an rmz 450 for 7 years. Needless to say it was time for a fresh bike. Liked the video.
My bike originally came from that same dealership. 2015 crf250r and the guy paid $7500 for it. I bought it off him with 12 hours on it for $4200. That dealership is really nice.

I am in the market for a first race bike I ride a TTR 225 right now I’ve been riding for 2 years , I really want a 125 and I’ve been looking used and haven’t been able to find anything that’s not too old for my liking. And a new one is still a lot of money. I kind of want to get a rmz or KX 250F but I don’t think I am ready for one.
I got the ‘19 CRF250r and love it, I’m a Honda guy, so I’m locked in lol. The KX is a great bike and that’s a great price. You have room to add some stuff to make it perfect for you. All the new bikes are good. I like my KYB Suspension on my ‘95 CR250r, so I’d imagine the newer stuff is even better. Enjoy your bike.
great deal on that bike! no wonder they have no stock left. have you changed bars/risers etc since you're taller than most? how is stock suspension working out with your weight?
I'd probably buy another euro 2 stroke. Likely Beta or Sherco to try living with something different. If I was a moto rider I'd look hard at the big 4. I tend to default to Yamaha but like you mention they are quite wide and bulky feeling. Had a yz250fx previously.
Interesting to hear you would go for a Beta or Sherco! Have you ridden any of the Sherco bikes? If so, how did they compare to the Betas we just tested?
@@DerekHallman Haven't ridden a Sherco yet but seeing as they are making a big push lately with their enduro bikes I'd be likely to give them a shot. I've been around a couple of their trials bikes and they were excellent quality. Like Beta they are putting KYB on their Factory version bikes. I've had KTM and Husky 2 strokes. No interest in TPI but I do love the counterbalanced motor. The Beta counterbalanced motor still vibrates noticeably by comparison.
im debating between the kx250 and the rmz250. funny thing is im looking to buy from delmarva powersports too. its only 20min from me. i got quoted around $6kotd for the kx and $6200otd for the rmz. my main concern is reliability and how easy it is to ride trails for a beginner
Its 2024 and I'm not sure if I want a Honda Yamaha or Kawasaki be been looking at all the reviews and taking in opinions I've always been a Honda rider I've only had 1 Yamaha and I do loved it...that being said I'm stuck any suggestions or in put would be great
Shit I’m in Texas just left the dealer, they are having a sale of $1250 off MSRP bring it to like $6500 sticker but they thought I’d be smoking crazy to walk out at a little over $6k they said $7500. I’ll be calling that dealer and see what they can do for me! Did the price you give include freight and taxes?
This is just a KX250 but I put the F on the end because that's what the Kawi 250 four strokes have been called for many many years. Kawasaki just recently dropped the 'F' from the name KX250F and now they call it the KX250, which back in 2007 was the name of their two stroke mx bike.
The new honda 250 sucks. I like the kawi because it is a lot more torquey down low. And in a drag race I beat the honda on my kawi. Both bikes were 19s. And the honda didnt start as well and it had the electric start.
I'm a kawi guy at the end of the day, but the RMs are Soo smooth to ride, I actually like them and the price range for the RMs are awesome, if I didn't ride kawi I'd go RM for sure
These guys price themselves right out of our hands i want a 450 but for $10k I'll pass they dont even hold value you can find them 1 year old for less than half the price of new
Good point Dillon. I don't know who can afford to pay over $10,000 for a dirtbike. That's pretty close to what some folks pay for a car. And its good advice to any first time dirtbike buyer. Don't ever expect to get all you're money back from selling a bike. A brand new bike automatically goes down in value the second it leaves the dealership.
AWOL MX the weld that holds the screw slot on the silencer of my pro circuit pipe literally cracked in half from track riding... like the actual WELD broke and my silencer fell off on the track... idk if that convinces you to get an fmf but ive always liked fmf better and that fully convinced me to never buy pro circuit again
@@icya5844 hey Austin I've heard of this problem before as well. It has to due with the pipe mounting weld. For whatever reason PC chose to have a solid mount without a rubber buffer. So essentially the mounting point will be metal on metal without a vibration buffer. Anyone who's ever rode a four stroke knows they vibrate worse than Michael J Fox on LSD. I have heard of several people having the exact same issue. My personal thought is PC really dropped the ball on this one. With a price tag around $475.00 for a PC slip on pipe the damn thing should be able to handle its intended purpose. If you still have the remains of the pipe definitely get in Pro Circuit's ass about it.
TheGT3 click Crash damn thats crazy you have heard it happening before?? And i was so pissed i bought an FMF and just threw the PC away i didnt bother with them...
@@icya5844 indeed I have seen this issue. It happened to my friends other buddy that rides. Pipe fell apart while riding. Vibration causes a stress crack on the weld then its only a matter of time. Kinda surprised pro circuit hasn't fixed the problem.
Hey man I just talked to Paul one of the sales guys at Delmarva powersports... he gave me a price of $5800 out the door for a kx250f! Did you happen to pay cash or finance? Does price change?
Typically you will actually pay a tad more if you choose to pay in cash. The reason for this is because the dealer wants you to finance. The initial cost may seem lower for financing but depending on the interest rate from the bank could cost you several hundred dollars more. That's why the dealer will offset the price for cash customers. They're trying to make up for the difference in not halving to pay interest if you bought in cash. Also just my personal thoughts on this they sometimes don't like the cash customers because once you have paid for the bike all ties between yourself and the dealer have been severed. They want customers to keep coming back to the dealership. Just gives them more opportunity to sell something else to you.
Probably more user friendly for him and better for his riding style. Alot easier to use all the power and potential of a 250 compared to the 450. Not many people are able to use the full Potential of a 450 it has so much power. I currently ride 450s but prefer the 250 when riding Bush tracks. Easier to thrash around the tracks.

Bought a brand new 2019 KX450 for 7700 OTD. Sales tax are very high here in California 😬
I paid 7200$ for a brandnew 2018 kawasaki kx450f before the the 2019's came out. They did a rebate on it
Do a build on it and race next year.
The color is dope
Its 2024 and I'm not sure if I want a Honda Yamaha or Kawasaki be been looking at all the reviews and taking in opinions I've always been a Honda rider I've only had 1 Yamaha and I do loved it...that being said I'm stuck any suggestions or in put would be great
The 2020 Honda CRF250Rs and the yz250s are the best bikes out.
I just bought a brand new 2020 kx250f. And I live in Hawaii...I’m not sure why it was so much more than your price. My out the door price was 8,900
Very cool (from Brazil)
Power band is really good
Hi, Derek.
I remember you had a video about kx 250 hot starting fix. I couldn’t find any remaining info. Could you write me your fix instruction?
Idk how you got such a deal, they advertise them around here for $6200 - $6500 plus hundreds in dealership fees.
You don't wont to know the Australian price then.
Even generous converting we are still $1500 behind.
What exactly does the F stand for? My local dealership only has KX250's not KX250F's.
This is just a KX250 but I put the F on the end because that's what the Kawi 250 four strokes have been called for many many years. Kawasaki just recently dropped the 'F' from the name KX250F and now they call it the KX250, which back in 2007 was the name of their two stroke mx bike.
Any opinions on the Honda vs the kawi specifically for taller riders?
The new honda 250 sucks. I like the kawi because it is a lot more torquey down low. And in a drag race I beat the honda on my kawi. Both bikes were 19s. And the honda didnt start as well and it had the electric start.
Also the honda was almost bottomed out and I'm 5'9" when I sat on it and the kawi is spring for heavier and taller riders.
How come you didn’t go 450? Do you prefer riding 250s? Please explain I want to know. Been riding 250s and don’t know if i really need to jump to 450
If u ask me a 250 is more fun and u could ride for way longer. A 450 is heavy asf and the arm pump aint no joke
Yea those RMs and KXs are priced well
I'm a kawi guy at the end of the day, but the RMs are Soo smooth to ride, I actually like them and the price range for the RMs are awesome, if I didn't ride kawi I'd go RM for sure
B.E.A utiful bike i have a 2015 KXF250 and love it but i wanna upgrade soon and hopefully i can scape some pennies together to get the 2020
Put a fmf power bomb make it look fresh
And Pro circuit ? maybe in the future I'll put an exhaust but I hesitate between these two brands, convince me !!
Where you bought the dirt bike
That’s a crazy price around here where I live msrp for that bike is about 8300
Nice man.... crf250f 2021 price 4699
Dude the new yamis are like jet skis 😂
I would buy a new or used Yamaha Yz250x or Yz250 or a used Ktm/Husqvarna 250 SX/TC, XC/TX, or XC-W/TE
Is there a reason u didn't get a 450
Probably more user friendly for him and better for his riding style. Alot easier to use all the power and potential of a 250 compared to the 450. Not many people are able to use the full Potential of a 450 it has so much power. I currently ride 450s but prefer the 250 when riding Bush tracks. Easier to thrash around the tracks.
