And to think, I was where the road was 3 months ago recording on a train on the last day of Great Victoria Street Station.

Looking good ! Not sparing the tarmac, lol. It will be a whole new experience to arrive there on the Enterprise. Unfortunately, it's unlikely to be ready for my next trip in mid September, but I will be using the Bus Station. By the way, I will almost share a birthday. Mine is on the 7th September. Thanks for the updates.

It will be lovely to arrive in the new station. Joseph can't wait to take a train out and back in again.
It will definitely be different but hopefully a really good experience. Thanks for watching! Happy birthday for next week 🎉

Can you do a we walk or drive from the new bus and train stops to the europa or great victoria street , a few people talking about the extra distance to walk - in the pouring rain usually

There is very slightly less distance to walk from the train platforms in Grand Central Station to Belfast City Hall, than from the former Great Victoria Street Station platforms, through the former station, along the Great Northern Mall and from there to Belfast City Hall. Given the variety of city centre places that people coming off trains will be going to, some will have a greater distance to walk and others a lesser distance to walk. The remarkable thing is how similar the averages distances are going to be between the old station and the new.

Yeah, it's just a few minutes' walk from the bus station, depending on how fast you walk, any disabilities and mobility issues.
But for now, the entrance is on Grosvenor Road until they take down the bridge and finish the new road layout. Then you'll be able to get to the new station from the old station too, that's what we've been told. Hope that makes sense. We'll try to film it today.

Thanks and do so , have a friend works in the Europa and got the train from Lisburn to great victoria street and back each day . He is disabled and walks slow , on a work scheme that the Europa has signed up to .
However he feels that the walk will be too long for him there and back each day .
He took agreed leave the day that great victoria street closed and says may not go back if walk too long for him .
    He disabled.
Dark windy and rainy nights coming in He says .
Do the walk and put it up thanks 😊

I just posted the walk-through video. I totally get your friends' concerns and why they're anxious. Hopefully, when it's fully operational again, they can come back. It's not really that far to walk, and it'll be even easier when the bridge is gone. But if they're commuting to work in GCS, they shouldn't have to worry about walking from the Europa since that won't be running then.
Maybe I've completely misunderstood though. Apologies if I have.

Can anyone help here - I go to Belfast a lot from Derry and use the 212 bus service which is fantastic service. However for the last 20 years I have been used to the Europa Bus Centre at Great Victoria Street. How do we get to Great Victoria Street from this new, large and daunting massive station? Translink, whenever I email them or message them on social media, never explain it to me. Anyone here can? Thank you

The new station is just behind the Europa Bus Centre and Great Victoria Street is a small walk down Grosvenor Road.
