BECK is a manga, which was later made into an anime under the name BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. It was created by mangaka Harold Sakuishi and was originally published by Kodansha in Monthly Shonen Magazine. It tells the story of a group of Japanese teenagers who form a rock band. The manga is currently licensed in the USA by Tokyopop. The series has also spawned three guidebooks. BECK won the 2002 Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen.
The original 26-episode anime television series was aired on Japan's TV Tokyo from October 2004 to March 2005. It was directed by Osamu Kobayashi, animated by Madhouse and produced by Takeshi Shukuri and Yoshimi Nakajima.

i was lucky cause in the italian version the dub left all the songs with the original japanese voices
i think it was good choice by the dubbers from my country
now if only had they left Fallout 3 in english instead of makin a shitty italian dub translation that i cant change into english from the settings i could die happy
the original voices of the source material country are always the better ones
@deparinge Curently in Japan it's very hip (For a lack of a better word) to be able to speak English. This trend transfers over extremely in Music especially in the different types of rock and roll. What a lot of Americans don't realize is that America is currenlty the home of rock and roll. Many bands come from all over the world to make their debut in America because making it in Rock in America is making it everywhere. So a lot of Japanese punk and rock bands sing Songs in English.
Or just buy the Beck or Keith CD with all the tracks, or download if you don't want to buy it..

the bass is very very goooood
@Chzrm3 The difference between a bold bass and a background bass is really apparent. There aren't as many aggressive and bold bassists anymore but sometimes it's not what ya need at the time. Some songs need it more laid back. In the anime I think they wanted to accentuate all the elements of a band a little more evenly so the bassist Taira, and and bassist in the soundtrack, needed to be more assertive than you'd usually find. It turned out great in the end. Perfect for the show

The bass in this is so sick : D, I wish more bands would pay attention to all their components like Beck did, instead of just focusing on vocals/guitar. You can really hear the difference between a bass that's a non-factor and a bass like Taira that rips it up every chance he gets.

The whole song is good but damn - the first 44 seconds is THE part. It gives me butterflies in the stomach. Must be one of the best intros I've heard!
Sigh... four more episodes or something in the anime before it ended would have been perfect. Can't someone erase my mind so I can watch this anime again without knowing what happens?

this anime made me watch school of rock again that movie made me decide i wanted to rock so i picked up a guitar and then a fucking band it was only one year and one show after that i had to leave to concentrate in school. That will always be a defining year in my life.
I was SOO STOKED when Chiba gets on stage and the whole band was back together, and Koyuki was like lets do Brainstorm and i was like siickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
@dodoproject Yeah the creators said that Taira was designed with Flea in mind, They gave him a Music-man Stingray and had him play shirtless and in fleas style. Overall, perfect decision :)
i think the bass to all songs to this anime and Nana are just exalent! infact there the reasons i started playin bass now!
