- Welcome back everyone. In this video we replaced the driver side quarter panel on Bobby's 1962 Impala 2 DR HT. The full quarter panels are very good quality. They are not completely installed yet, as there is a need for some minor trimming, but overall, the job came out nice. Stay tuned for more rust repair work as we bring this car back to life!!! Thanks for watching!!

Looks a lot better with both quarters on.
Just takes a few people looking at the same problem to come up with a answer fast that will work the first time.
Yes ed...looks like everyone is working except Bobby
I saw that but didn't want to say anything 🙂
Johnny is always on the move getting things done, he would have fit right in with my Guys Drag Racing in the late 60's and 70's @@lonestarlows

Good looking quarters I ran into some issues with them having to cut the tops of the quarters and totally rework the tail light areas on a friend's Impala got it looking good and straight I also did my own quarter panel replacement on our 65 SS Impala a few years back it was my very first quarter panel replacement job not to hard I had to rework the front area by the rear side glass do to it was way out of shape got some videos of the 65 SS on my you tube channel it's under my name
I'll check it out!! Thanks for watching
Looking good 🎉🎉
😎
Is that por 15 sprayable? Homeboy looks like a trunk nomb in there like that LoL 😂😂😂 and that r- coat definitely needs to come of fir the exact fact of trust your own products. You know what's what when you start from the bottom and especially with that extensive of a build. This is a full restoration and not an insurance collision repair job. 🎉
I'm sure por 15 is sprayable. Just makes a bigger mess
Looks good! What are the measurements for the rear antenna’s?
I agree remove the e coat
Yep
So the factory originally would take the complete assembled body and send it on a conveyor into a big ass tank of a hot acid bath of a clear etching primer type liquid. Thats why people like to soda blast cars because it looks like it takes the car to bare metal but it really doesn't. Soda blasting leaves the clear protective coating on for better rust protection and then you just spray etching primer to make sure its 100% protected.
i saw a video on this topic over at my friend petes channel, DIY auto school. good info
Great job man where did you find the quarters? Do they sell them for the 61 ?
@@dajourbrown-vinston8222 video is older. Full 61 quarters are not reproduced. Only patches and lately they have been hard to find
💪🏾💪🏾🔥💯

Any body know If 64 pontiac bench seat is same as 64 impala?
2 door split bench? From all the pics I seen yes
