The Polaris torpedoes are housed in rotating magazines that can be manually reloaded from the cargo hold. It has 1 torpedo in each tube, plus six torpedoes in each magazine.

I like the changes. Especially since they gave the Valk some love. I think a lot of people had already planned to solo the Polaris as much as possible, or maybe have a friend with them.
I see base building being similar to Subnautica. Where a flying drone 3D prints the base module on the ground (basically a hut). This will actually be very simple for CIG to install into the game as a first step into base building. Later, down the road, they can add other connecting and specialized modules to go with it.
Best solo daily driver. Cannot wait for November and use the Polaris for cargo runs and box missions. Weaponry is a bonus on this one for me : it is a moving base!

It will be more interesting when we see what ships will be flyable, and which ones will be concept. I kinda feel like the starlancer and the fortune may be concept, but who knows. If they are straight to flyable it would be pretty cool to see them just drop a couple larger ships outta nowhere like that.
those components on the MISC fortune make it sound like a small salvage ship like about prospector size could even be a variant remember they are adding extra shield components to ships for redundancy to go along side engineering
Yeah it will probably come down to its cargo capacity, those extra shields makes me think it might have more than the vulture, but that's just wild speculation lol
I wouldn't be too surprised if they made the Polaris some amount of solo~able to start with just to make it more attractive to a broader audience while it's for sale and then crack down on that further down the line when it's available in game (kind of like they are trying to do with the Corsair).
They need to stop doing anything other than making the game a consistent experience. I dont know if thats server meshing or what but none of this shit, none of it, matters if when you land at the place youre going to do the mission at the game crashes/npcs dont react/things dont spawn/etc. None of this matters at all.
I'm not seeing where the Fortune is in between the Vulture and the Reclaimer. It's got one salvage head. Now, in other respects, maybe, but that's kind of the determining item for a salvage ship in my opinion.
i am relatively sure that the PDS's will not shoot at other ships .. that would defy the whole point of them as a line of defense against rockets and torpedos if they could be "distracted" by fighters flying past the ship. in regard to the A2 ... i guess they will pull out the large bombs as a module and go and sell the smaller bombs as another module that will later be available in game aswell. (like they just did with the retaliator.)

I am hoping for a larger solo orientated salvage ship as well (I like the Vulture but don't love it). l also like my Taurus; however, I am interested to see what MISC offers in the Starlancer, too. I really like MISC's industrial design language. Cant wait to see this stuff!

A military torpedo vessel like the Polaris would have a modern state of the art auto loader for the torpedoes. Im not saying that loader wouldn't have to be manually activated but the notion that crew would have to tractor the ordnance from its cradle into the tube sounds dangerous and inefficient.
Ah, let me get this straight. We have a Player moving a size 10 torpedo with a tractor beam (rifle?), while the ship is in a battle? Oh, nothing can go wrong here. ;-) I'm thinking, when we're able to install AI blades to the PDS turrets, we'll be able to set them to fire at anything (missile, ship, torpedo) "attacking" our ship (if IFoF works). Typical, I mention the purpose for AI blades and then you remark about them. ;-D Did you say that only "capital ships" can use AI blades? I hope not, I want to install them on mu Cutlass, Warden, C2, etc... to scare off Pirates and to let me escape.
Considering that my Kickstarter ship is my Freelancer, and Starlancer is a far superior game to Freelancer... I'm pretty excited for the MISC Starlancer. Must resist urge to expand fleet.
I'm very excited about the new MISC ships, probably my 2nd favorite brand (behind RSI) though I personally only have the Hull D (got a great deal on it before the price increase) and Freelancer Max in my hangar. I'll definitely be upgrading my Freelancer Max to a Starlancer Max and either my Vulture or Argo Raft to the Fortune. Nice video Zyhur, very informative. Keep up the great work!

Investment, and expectation, are two values that help determine standing in a false advertising law suit. Now, I have no intentions or thoughts of that as of now, but it's a point. Now, if a said class, where there is significant investment and expectation as to what it is, and what it does, is suddenly changed altogether to the point of devaluing said class, then that is essentially robbing the person of their investment, and subverting their expectation. Games like WoW and Battlefield don't worry because you don't officially pay to play such classes. Here, you do for your ships. As such, it is completely reasonable for there to be such backlash to these changes.
Can't see myself getting into any of these ships with all the nerfs going around, it has me frustrated to no end. Helldivers had to learn this mistake themselves, and you would think CIG could learn this lesson through observation but I guess not. Not to mention, it seems they have a habit of releasing a good ship, marketing it as such, then nerfing it once they have all the money. Not cool. The fact that allegedly the Starlancer gets a S3 shield but the Redeemer doesn't, is just crazy to me. Now to be fair, I recall hearing that somebody making a point to the change, claiming that redundancy could play a part it the change being better or at least neutral, but I have my doubts.
We do luv the overall game rebalancing especially balancing the redeemer/corsair to what they were intended, and equally CIG's push for multi-crewed large ships, very interesting times, its what us long term backers have waited for. Good times

You get more in a Constellation for $100 less. 3. I am also a long time backer, I'm just one that doesn't like being undercut. It's like having the rug pulled out from underneath you. Based on the evo's test of components so far, military components will take more power, and regen faster, that redundancy might also be an advantage, I wouldn't worry too much about components just yet
i want the nose turret to be energy not ballistic, i also think all the missiles should be way bigger we already carry big torpedoes why not big missiles too. triple the size of all the missiles
why will they be manually loaded? What year is this game in? Do we manually load in a sub now ? No we dont. If you listen to the video they said that they are working on the loading mechanism for the torps.
Everything is going to be updated and change as they do multiple balance passes. Your Corsair will be fine, it'll do what it is described to do in the pledge store at the end of the day. It's a commerce raider (basically) disguised as an exploration ship: it should do that job well, not something meant to go hunt ERTs or anything like that outside of its intended use case. It's like the Redeemer, which was never intended to take down large ships, but rather a support ship for troops or anti-fighter duties.
@JL-rj9fl I understand your view, but I'm confident that once they burden a co-pilot with having to manage the rear top turret and systems, there will be no going back. Hence, in my head, this is capitalizing on their ambiguous description, selling us the Corsair a year ago, only to nerf it once something else shiny is available to take it's place. Yes, it's an exploration ship and a liberator of cargo, yet the Conne is more manuverable and tanky. I'm expecting that to change next.... Thus, I am becoming more apathetic and will not be partaking in the FoMO.
@@melsy2 Definitely understandable, I think the Connie will also see changes too. I think they are doing a lot of things in preparation for more extensive multicrew testing. If it was up to me to make a change to the Corsair I probably would have just downsized some of the guns to start and see how that went first. I would hold on to your Corsair in any case and see what ends up happening. They could revert those changes later on, and I think you're smart to not get caught up in the fomo of something new.
It would be way cooler if they worked on the backlog of ships already paid for instead of constantly working on new ship

You should be able to give them target priority, so you can choose between missiles or fighters

I think erkul has the torpedo hardpoints at size 10 with size 9 torps, are the torps going to be size 9 or 10

The Prospector doesn't have one. I suspect the Salvager will be much the same where you need to see to work.
