PokeRogue is a unique rogue-lite experience set in the Pokemon universe. Unlike traditional Pokemon games, PokeRogue features procedurally generated worlds, meaning the map and encounters change with every playthrough. This injects a hefty dose of strategy and replayability, forcing you to adapt to ever-changing situations. Additionally, while it doesn't have permadeath like some Roguelike, PokeRogue offers a challenging experience that requires careful planning and resource management.

Not sure if you knew this, but apparently, if the pokeball next to the pokemon is greyed out it means that you can obtain a new nature or ability by catching it. Love the pokerogue content.

I got a shiny charm on floor 50 the other day but haven't been able to continue the run because of work. So I'm admiring your shinies to hold me over until I can get back to that run and inevitably punt it 3 floors later

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but when you're teaching a new move and you're unsure if the Pokémon is a physical or special attacker, you can press left on the move screen to see their stats before deciding 😊
But you have to select a pokemon and then you can't go back, right?
If it's one you select from the end of a battle yes, but if the pokemon is just learning a new move and you can't remember if physical or special is higher, it's nice to be able to check

@gexx4 ah no, I think on the subreddit for them, you can see their official message. It's because I think their server company/ the place that hosts the server is incorrectly marking the increased flow of people as an "attack"

@Jexorz86 If it was today or yesterday I think that's when they were having the most issues! If it has been always maybe look into some settings/work around. Alpugh we probably gonna have to wait a bit untill they are able to sort out the servers
Hey Retro, the zones you "travel in" are connected. So Beach -> Ocean -> Sea Floor -> Ocean can be a path. The paths are set random chances, Even with a map. The map lets you decide between paths if the rng gives you access to both. It's easy to hit a loop in the water biomes and plains biomes too.

Hey! You introduced this to me and I’ve been enjoying it in my off time. Sadly my first run stopped at 195 as I had 0 answers to the mega raquaza but I have a better run going now. Love to watch your stuff! My first and only shiny was sadly one Mr Rime out in the wild but I’m hoping to finally catch one!

This one is good enough to at least watch thru the end of this run. A well deserved like.
You can look up a biome chart on the wiki to see which zones connect to which and figure out where you want to go with the map. It is very easy to get stuck in water hell though.
Still loving the series, and this squad.

Hey your vids got me into the game. FYI the servers are having issues due to the popularity I recommend grabbing an offline version just in case. The discord has a channel for it. It was super easy.

Don't sleep on the legendary gacha I hatched a Ho-oh. Got another one after beating elite four. The stats are mid at best but the growth rate is pretty good.

Love this series, Retromation are so way beyond average into Pokémon and an expert in my opinion, no matter how much Retromation are protesting that.
I wonder if the comments about catching more Pokémon in the runs, are just generic "you've got to catch them all" or it's more utilizing the chances where the wild ones are at low health and under an effect of some sort?
The former if we take the comments at their worst and the latter for the more constructive feedback, that I am more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I love how much fun reto is having with PokeRogue! Thats why i want more, with some few games he covered i kinda fell asleep
But with games like this i can think of alternative solutions as Reto is also thinking for a solution!
Im also playing along with Reto! My first shiny and only shiny as of now is Stunfisk (the Gen 5 Stunfisk)

Swellow has guts which doubles its attack with a status condition.

Stab retro stab, wing attack was 110ish with 100 accuracy.
I mean yeah, theoretically catch and release pleases all, but we know it would end up pissing off a third group.
When learning a move, you can actually tap left to see the stats, if you forget if it's a special or physical attacker.
I would, in fact, hate to see this series go. Just letting you know, Reto.

Loving the series, got a hidden ability magician on the keychain Pokemon (forgot the name) and hope it carries me through the late game. Fun to see the difference between this run and the last difficulty wise. Early game seems a lot more manageable
