I don't know the man. I'm just a guy in the comments. but I completely agree, the name of his channel says it all. He seems very sincere and genuinely loves what he does and just wants to share that with others. that's the way it comes across to me anyways and that's why he's my favorite trucking channel on YT.

Now, if only you did another super long ASMR like this one, but with shifting at high RPM's, I'll be real happy! I love hearing trucks shifting at super high RPM's, especially big diesel engines like this! Please let me know if you can do it for me ASAP.

Truck looks absolutely forkin' amazing brother! With the setup you have, I think you should put some Chino top stacks on that large car! It would give it and even more aggressive look and I think you would love the sound! Especially with the setup you have under the hood with the upgrades on it and having it tuned. It would sound absolutely unreal! Other than that, your ride looks absolutely top notch! If I was to ever get an opportunity to Pilot it or a truck like yours, I would truly consider it an honor and an absolute privilege! I have my fair share of experience with long hoods, long wheelbase, big Power (700-800+ hp CATs) trucks and they're just isn't anything like them! One of my past trucks was actually built, owned and operated by Jared, the owner of PDI. I was absolutely tickled pink to drive that truck! 2001 379 flat-top with a FrankenCAT @ 725 HP and 2125 TQ with a 285" WB, a 13 spd and 3:36 rears!! Damn it boy, I would give up both testicles to have that truck back or one like it! You keep that beautiful Beast rubber side down shiny side up, C'MOWN!! 🤙
I found this channel after playing American truck sim and thought I should found out what a real truck sounds like . So glad I found this as I'm from Scotland 🏴 so we have lots of Scania V8s etc but this sounds so much better .Plus the video is just awesome so I subscribed...

Brother that was an awesome video. Just to sit back and relax and listen to how you drive that W-9 that's just awesome. Especially when you were shifting with the Jake on. In the beginning of the video I love how that W900 look. you did a really fantastic job on it. When I come out that way I would definitely keep an eye out for it. We have a warehouse out in Chicago that I go to once in awhile. I hope you are home for the holiday brother. I finally got home late last night at 11:00 to be woken up at 7:00 in the morning by my grandson to start the day & go get his baby flip flops. Which I have a question if that’s ok… I never went for my CDL, but I did drive a Mack Fire Engine for many years in our Fire Department (most of them 5 speed)… which required “double-clutching” always… I was curious if truck transmissions still require any double-clutching or has that gone away? I’m also curious about the double shift levers…. Fascinating stuff there :)
To answer your question based on information I've learned over the years; you can still double clutch truck transmissions; there are drivers out there who drive manual trucks and still do it but most drivers float their gears these days. With regards to the twin stick transmission, it's like the eaton fuller trannies where you have the splitter and range selector on one stick; but with a twin stick they are seperated into two seperate levers
Yup, it’s a nice KW but it’s pretty loud. I don’t think I’d like to always hear those pipes. I drive all day in a quiet low key truck so I do t draw attention. I like my way

I have the same engine in my pete. where did you tune your engine? did you upgrade your injectors, cam or anything else? I have a borg warner turbo 1.38 78mm and full tilt manifold. I have been told that those are able to hold 600hp.

You can double clutch them, its moreso a preference thing. Most guys dont, not because they cant, but because the clutch is usually on the heavy side and it'll mess your knees up over time.
The double clutching is preference, you could have shifted without the clutch, he could have double clutched. He is shifting an 18 speed. The left stick is the transmission shifter, and it's effectively a 9 speed. The switch on the dash is air control for high and low range. The right stick is also an air valve for splitting any gear which acts like a two speed rear end. When he splits a gear, throwing it into neutral lets the splitter shift gracefully. If you don't do that, the engine stays connected and when it doesn't engage enough and skips a tooth makes a loud bang and scares the hell out of you. Hopefully it doesn't leave a yard sale on the highway. OEM shifters will have the hi-lo range on the front of the shifter and the splitter on the side. The color of the splitter tells you if it's a 13, 15, 18, etc.

The cost of trucking schools here in America can be more than 220,298.00 php but the job wages are probably higher.
