Divar Island - Old Goa Places To Visit | Goa Tourism | Goa Beyond Beaches
In this episode, I have visited Divar island which has high historical significance. Along with that, I went to some famous old Goa churches.
Divar is a small island near old Goa, which is not on many people's list when they visit Goa. If you, really wish to see real Indo-Portugal Goa, then you should visit Divar island.
Recommended plan:
You can start from Panjim in the morning, visit old goa churches, have lunch and then come to ferry point which is hardly 10 mins away from the Bom Jesus Chruch. Take the ferry and visit Divar island. You can visit various temples and churches in Divar.
Uraak is one of the famous home-made liquor which you get after March-April month. Divar is also renowned for its festivals.
As I always recommend to speak to locals and know more about Divar Island.

Our family deity is Saptakoteshwar and nice to see the original place ..One can go to north of Diwar Island cross the river and go to Narve where present day Saptakoteshwar temple exist built by Shivaji .

Cruise boat you can book from panjim or dauna paula (singham point). That ferry boat gives you ride on Mandovi river.

Divar island and old Goa are have lots of history and stories. Anyone who has time should plan and visit Divar island.
Can we enjoy divar island in July ?
Yes! It is lush green in Monsoons, you can have really lovely time. But, it also depends on your taste, as it is not happening place like beaches, Divar is full of nature and serenity. I would suggest at least go and roam around.

There are very few options.
But you can plan to stay in North Goa and then travel to Divar.

I accepted my mistake and said that my bad (which means that my bad luck that I didn’t do the fact check properly) then I wrote in acceptance - Temples were destroyed by Deccan Raiders. If you are unable to understand my acceptance then I don't know what to say.
Nothing in my comment was communal giving it the wrong direction when someone accepts the mispronouncing the facts is not good.
Hope you understand how to deal with people who accept their mistake. Pin-pointing is easy, hate is easy but surely acceptance, forgiveness and love is difficult.
