It's smart to be cautious. If it puts your mind at ease, the state they operate in is not small and is heavily populated compared to the rest of the U.S. Even in the event that someone was in fact trying to look for you, they'd probably have a very hard time finding you, even if they were local. Still a good idea to stay cautious though.
