Always been my favorite drummer. He was inspired by his brother Adrian. Both learned together. Adrian played for Cradle of Filth while Daniel for Arch Enemy. Just awesome.
Yes! Please do more. Let’s see some carcass or at the gates!! Would also love to see you and / or your brother on here to talk about beats, records you’ve made or faq’s!!
Well done my fellow slayer brother, this is not a criticism of your great drumming,it's a tip, try to learn to approach the Tom fills/ drum rolls, with your left hand leading the first hit of the Tom's , then your rolls will sound similar to Dave Lombardo's,he's left handed but plays a right handed set up, I've been practicing to slayer since 1990, it took me some serious time to learn to lead with the left hand, but it genuinely sounds more similar to the way Dave Lombardo plays , still a great video, and it's good to see younger people still loving slayer.
when I seen your orchestrated drum solo with synths back in the day that shit blew my mind and still does!!! I hope you keep uploading videos you're one of the few I would watch constantly!!
You don't just wake up one day and say I'm going to play Slayer's War Ensemble today flawlessly and then maybe have some toast and eggs. It takes serious commitment. Absolutely inspiring and amazing and like 10 other things words can't describe. You killed it.
this man never ages. probably vampire one... keep doing that sir! I've been watching you for fifteen years. You, Chris Adler, Fredrik Andersson my favourite metal band drummers \m/
What most fans don’t know about Seasons in the abyss, Lombardo wasn’t able to physically do the high speed double bass for whatever reason. This song and Born of Fire was punched in , by the time the tour kicked off, he got his ass in shape to play his legendary style. After the tour he left Slayer, AGAIN. I was always under impression that he really didn’t enjoy what he was doing with Slayer 😢
Awesome cover of War Ensemble, your playing is so powerful yet precise. Slayer is the band that got me into metal at age 15 and Dave Lombardo inspired me to start metal drumming, soon after I started listening to Slipknot, Children of Bodom , Dark Tranquility and of course Arch Enemy. Doomsday Machine was the first album I listened to and I was blown away by it, I never imagined metal could be so heavy. There were brutal riffs, groovy riffs like My Apocalypse with it's djent feel before djent even became a popular genre (15 year old me thought such a groovy/djenty song would be in some crazy time signature but later I realised it was just 4/4!), interesting guitar scales I'd never heard before like in Hybrids of Steel and a thunderous drum sound - those low floor tom hits had some impact! Your style of playing in Arch Enemy has really inspired me a lot in my own playing. If you do see this comment I would like to ask - how does the drum fill at 1:11 in Taking Back My Soul go? I've never managed to get it sounding as good as it does on the album when I try to play it. Don't know if it's mainly the fat, wet drum sound that makes it sound so good or the pattern (probably both). Chris Adler is also great at making fills like that sound huge - I'd love to see you cover some Lamb of God!
I ´ve watch MANY drum cover of that song pobably got the record for that😂but yours is pobably the closest to the original you nailed every fills perfectly congrats man 🤟☠️🤟
One of my fav drummers do a cover of the other of my fav drummers - I am happy :) Daniel and Dave have totally different techniques and I see the right details just except one "ding" that Dave put before second verse when he play this song live :)
Great job! It's crazy seeing you play it and remembering that Dave was doing that thirty years ago. Nuts! Again, great playing, you crushed it for real! NYHC.
Amazing playing as always!!

This is the best War Ensemble cover i have seen till now... You mastered the Lombardo roll.. Not much people can do that! You got the swing!
From my perspective, one of the most underrated drummers in whole history.
Who? This guy?
@@MrBones-lw2bf That's correct, yes.
I wouldn't call Dave Lombardo underrated. lol
@@stevedrouillard1585 i'm talking about Daniel, mate.
@@franckjimenez7264 for sure!! Daniel is extremely underrated. Dude is on point pretty much every video I've seen.
I knew somehow Daniel Erlandsson would listen to Slayer lol. He's got not only talent, but good taste.
🤘🏻✌🏻
Daniel's amazing drumming skills were already on display in In Flames' Subterranean EP. His technique is so, so good!
Dave Lombardo would be proud! Nice job brother

Top shelf cover. Awesome! 🤖🎶
I like everything about this. Drums sound great, swivel technique on double bass, sick tats, and SLAYER!
You don't just wake up one day and say I'm going to play Slayer's War Ensemble today flawlessly and then maybe have some toast and eggs.
It takes serious commitment.
Absolutely inspiring and amazing and like 10 other things words can't describe. You killed it.
I remember watching your drum solos with Arch Enemy back around 2008 and being blown away. So cool! I'd always buy tickets every chance I got.

What a master on his craft. It's undeniable, as Daniel said it, Dave Lombardo it's a fucking machine, technical perfection since 1980's.

LOMBARDO IS BEAST well done Daniel :):)
Sick cover🤘 i don't think people appreciate how Lombardo plays basically blastbeats on the ride and hi-hat in most Slayer songs like all the time🙂
This is why you are one of the best. Not even breaking a sweat and making a Slayer song look easy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great rendition! It takes a drummer as great as you to do justice to a master like Lombardo.
Great cover from one of the top metal drummers right now \m/ Carry on bro !
