As a fellow drummer, this breaks my heart😔. But I respect everyone’s musical taste/opinions because that’s what makes music art. I don’t get how people don’t like hearing those drums BANG on this song but everyone has their tastes I guess
It’s crazy how lars is depicted as a bad drummer to me. Yea his style can seem bland to some because he doesn’t do crazy techniques but his style fits metallica perfectly. Put most drummers on stage with metallica and they probably won’t play as good as him, unless they’re a pro, and they’ll still say he’s a bad drummer lol

When someone says drums aren't that important, show them songs without drums. They'll change their tune quickly.
Same with any instrument, without bass it feels unnatural and un balanced, music needs its medley of music. And its great when it has it.
