Great job fixing the issues with the current keeper. I have upgraded all my engines with Soundtraxx and they run great with few issues outside human errors. Loved the video! Wish I could bring my V&T down those rails, that layout looks awesome!
Awesome video! The slow starting problem may be because this loco has traction tires on the front drivers, so it's really only getting pickup through the tender, which isn't big enough to carry much weight. Adding pickup on the lead truck might help, but the current keeper is probably a better solution.

Thanks for the info! I was thinking adding more pickup in the front using some of the techniques I've read about in MRH. That's one more project for later!

Why does the car it’s pulling look so much bigger?
These early American 4-4-0 engines are not exactly large.
