Much better. He was Brazil's best player in a WC title. After 27 years without winning one. And he is the reason we even went to the 94 WC with that brilliant performance VS Uruguay in the Last qualifying game.
There are only 2 guys that can be placed above him. Pelé for sure. Ronaldo is debatable.
Ronaldinho won the 02 WC, but he was behind Ronaldo and Rivaldo in importance.

This list is ridiculous for not having Roberto Rivelino, who, according to Pele, was the second-best Brazilian player of all time. (And you have Cafu in your list?????). What about Jairzinho (who is one of only 2 players who scored in every game of a World Cup tournament), Tostao, Didi, Carlos Alberto (who was 100 times better than Cafu), Gerson, Junior, Falcao, Gelma Santos, Vava, Dirceu, Kaka, Careca, Bebeto, and Altafini.
Because cafu is far more popular.

People are complaining that Neymar is in this list but if we're honest he should be higher in this list if we would only take individual quality into account not team achievement. Highest goal scorer for Brazil and most international assists in the world. And if anyone is thinking it's just because he's played more games, he has almost the same goals per 90 than Ronaldo Nazario in a longer period of time (Ronaldo 0,63 and Neymar 0,62) Neymar has better G+A/90 than Ronaldo.
But since he didn't win World Cup and didn't win Ballondor during the time when the 2 greatest players of all time played, people don't give him the respect he deserves.
Brazil is nowhere near as good when Neymar retires, they still rely on him bc no current player is as good as him even though hes already over 30

Kaka is too underrated. In prime he was more affective than ronaldinho
@geosmurfes3157 Ronaldinho was effective but less consistent. Dinho partied too much, and didn't train much at all. Only turned up to training on the Friday so he'd be selected for the Saturday. In Italy they train tactics very intensively
Pele happened to have a longer career than R9 so he score more but in r9 times he was not only better but the gap between he and his opponents was more large pele is like mappee class watching the videos

Colocar Sócrates e Cafu entre os dez melhores e um absurdo,ex jogadores como Rivellino,Falcão e Jairzinho foram muito melhores e relevantes do que o esforçado Cafu e Sócrates um ex jogador muito superestimado que não ganhou nada e tem 4 títulos na carreira estaduais.
As a non - Brazillian. It's difficult to rank this because of the old vs new divide. But of the modern era I feel I am well placed as I actually watched them play.
1, Pele - arguably the goat
2, Rivaldo - best all round player of the modern era before Messi came along. Did more for Barca than any of the other Brazillian supestars. And Brazils best player at WC02 & WC98 and Copa America 1999 imho.
3, Zico - Arguably the best player never to win a WC.
4, Romario - More clinical and decisive than R9 and outscored him when they played together.
5, Ronaldo - Most talented player on the list but was never the same after France 98.
6, Garrincha - Won a world cup by himself, some say better than Pele.
7, Jaizinho - His world cup exploits are unbelievable.
8, Rivelino - Maradona's idol and inventor of the elastico.
9, Didi - Before Pele there was Didi.
10, Ronaldinho - Had 1 good game for Brazil imo, lucky to get in ahead of Socrates. Was brilliant at Barcelona but not as Deadly as Rivaldo, Romario or R9.
Honorable mention - Socrates, Careca, Kaka, Bebeto, Carlos, Cafu, Tostao, Gerson etc

@@morkujinirukandji4820 I have seen Ronaldo and Rivaldo. I give Rivaldo the edge and I'm qualified to make that statement. After WC 98 Rivaldo overtook R9 in my eyes - in 99 he was clearly better. I don't think R9 really achieved what he could of. Zico is a great shout but he never won the WC - whilst Rivaldo starred in 02

Neymar is one of the most overrated players in football history. He was NEVER the best player in the world in his position, and he won 1 UCL, that's it. Putting him above Marcelo, who was the best LB in the world for years, and won 5 UCLs does not make any sense whatsoever
