When I was in 11th I hated chemistry to the fullest. @@roopas8462 because in E 2 mechanism, strong bases( reagents) removes hydrogen......as hydrogen gives electron to compound but only when base is ready to withdraw it and make bond with that hydrogen........but this same thing is not going to happen with CH3,as base will not make bond with CH3 and if CH3 would donate electron,it will become unstable.....so CH 3 can't donate electron here...... Ig this is reason
