Enjoyed the video. I used to tie on the kahle hooks when catfishing and striper fishing. i always had good luck with these hooks too. I look forward to your next video Mr Junior
I use a pyramid sinker on the very end of my main line with a tag line tied on above the sinker 2 feet above the sinker. This prevents a lot of hang ups on obstructions on the bottom. I use a carolina rig on clean bottoms. Great show.
I use the kale hook for pike fishing, I’m going to try those circle hooks. On open water I use a large creek chub or a smaller (6-8inch) sucker. Same thing through the ice on a tip up. Biggest pike I’ve caught was a 15 pounder. Twenty pound braid with a fifteen pound mono leader. Thanks for the great info.. I’m going to chase some catfish this summer something I don’t do now👍 Heading out on the ice today, three inches fresh snow this morning.
As soon as you said “straightened the hook” I thought it musta been a gator. I haven’t been to your river more than a half dozen or so times but I’ve seen some impressive sized gators there.
Ive been doing a lot of beach fishing, so I like to watch catfish guys and their set ups. I'll also watch international videos to get tips from them. I've been using a different method for Snelling a circle hook, but I think I'm going to switch to this way. My way, you have to cut the line, then tie it back on with a swivel. I always wanted to add, that you can actually take your line and pass it back through those egg sinkers to get it to sit still if you don't have split shots. th-cam.com/video/QIKRxgd1l0U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CSV2lfWno1X7oigD

Thanks for your setups, I know you catch fish with them. I hope you are having better weather than we are in the upstate, solid ice.
Great information , I don't go catfishing alot but I'm saving this video for reference.
Good info Jr. I took some old times red and white plastic corks and added bb”s to it to have a little noise to bait area .
