Outstanding recap, cards, and thoughts Snoop! You voiced one of the great concerns I've always had about raw vintage. Not every dealer is honorable. Some cards that are trimmed, colored, doctored, soaked, whatever will slip through the cracks and someone will be left holding the bag. If I'm buying vintage raw it must be from a dealer I trust and I know is good. Otherwise it feels like a gamble. Most of these cards have been around for over 50 years, just so many things can happen. You always have to be on top of things in this hobby to make sure you're getting the real deal!
Well said Ed. I personally don't think its all dealers that are shady but you still have to have your guard up. It just puts the hobby in such a bad light when dealers aren't forthcoming about imperfections or problems they notice on cards.
Love the recap, and seeing you having fun on other channels. Fantastic pick ups Snoop! Some really awesome deals on the patches! Love both the Ripken’s and Koufax.
I was honored to be able to sign your bat at the TH-cam gathering. I showed your classic HOF rant video on the tv at our AirBnB. It’s still one of the greatest videos in Cardmunity history. 🤣 It made me order a microphone right away. Glad to hear you got energized by seeing folks and will be making more videos. I’m looking forward to watching.
Absolutely amazing recap my man!!! I was honored to finally meet up with ya. It's been too long. Those stands were made by The Drew, a vintage legacy. Awesome dude. Glad you liked the Smoltz patch, I wish it was a better patch for ya.
Thanks Jason, the Smoltz patch has been cataloged and is above my computer it is fantastic. I hope you are going to be able to make it out in 2025, maybe we will finally get a chance to hang out and chat a bit more.
I'd say you had a great National. Loved the pickups, especially the hof relics. That Ripken is a great looking piece of cardboard. Appreciate you sharing, and hope to see you next year in Chicago.
Hey man it was awesome meeting you and hanging out for a bit! Whenever I make a bigger vintage purchase I always want it slabbed to reduce the chance of buying something that’s been altered. You got to love the dealers with the traveling museums! 😂 You killed it with the pickups! Some sick relics! Love the 57 Campy and 68 Bench!
Thanks Jim, I wish we had more time to hang out. Next year I am going to come to the Misfit House for one full evening just to hang with you guys. Just gave you a sub.
It was great to meet you even if it was very brief. Glad to hear that you will be able to starting making more content soon. We watched your rant video at our Air BnB because some newer guys had not heard of it, still a classic.
You picked up some killer cards at The National, the Campy was my favorite! I'm so glad we got to hangout so much this year, I had a blast! Can't wait for Chicago brother!
I used to exclusively buy only raw cards. All be it in very low condition. While I expected them to have their condition issues, I still by no means would want them to be unknowingly altered. I still continue to buy some rock cards, but just stuff for team set binders. Any bigger card I now definitely prefer to buy already graded and just use it as a showpiece card. Wise words on just being careful. You definitely had some great pick ups. Love the autos and you got some awesome Vintage. It was a honor to meet you and sign the bat! I would love to see more content but just grateful for all you have done for the community over the years
Thanks bro, it was great to meet you. You know you will have to sign the Item I bring to Chicago. I am going to start carrying a few like 80s cards with me just to use to matchup on any raw cards that I am looking to buy. I am planning on doing more content, I had gotten burnt out and going to National and getting the chance to hang with everyone sort of rejuvenated me to get back to making videos.
Just found your channel and subscribed. Great stuff! Sorry about those dealers- that’s terrible and bad for the hobby. But great pickups - especially the Campys and the Koufax!
I do love my raw cards! You do need to know what you are doing though for sure. I collect low grade though, so definitely not affected much. great adds! Love the vintage, and that Chipper patch 😍
Yea it is, and I don't expect everything to be graded but I do expect honesty from a dealer. The 3 or so dealers at CSA that I but raw from are very honest if they think something might be sketchy and as the buyer I get to decide.
I am planning on going to Chantilly, I might be in the autograph section a lot but not sure yet. I will be talking about it prior to the event. The meet and greet was crazy.
Jon Bon Jovi is currently in the doghouse with a lot of autograph collectors. The recent sale of his album on his website was supposed to have come with a hand signed card but it has since been proven to be autopen.
What!? Wow! I went to the Rock and Roll HOF museum on wed. before the show and the 6th floor is all Bon Jovi. I could have understood if he would have said "random" albums. Dude thats a bummer.
Hi Snoop. It was awesome meeting you and spending a night outside chatting with you and Aaron. You picked up a lot of super stuff. Talk soon my friend.
I woulda been shocked too if I overheard the dealer as you did. Just wish the hobby was more honest, I do think most dealers would mark it trimmed. At least I hope so!
Jimmy the dealers that I frequently buy raw from at CSA are very honest about that, even if they don't know they at least give a heads up or put something on the price tag. I am going to start carrying a few junkwax era cards with me just to use to match up.
I mostly collect raw vintage too. Carrying some cards for measuring makes sense. It’s sort of the downside of raw. But I think if you look over the cards closely most of the time you will be alright. I’ve collected for years and have yet to send a card in to be graded.
Very nice pick ups. that sucks that some dealers are less than honest, I'd like to think they are the minority though and most are legit.. I've not watched the Football HOF videos yet, want dedicate time to sit and watch with no interruptions
I truly believe you are right about the dealers. The Football HOF was incredible, I posted about 1hr of video. Check out Aaron Davis' channel (@adscollection3106) he was there with me, he goes far more in-depth on the players than I do. He is supposed to be uploading his videos this week.

@@Snoop12922 I feel the same way. So many great people that I barely got to say anything more than hi.
Fantastic cards - especially the centered Bench! It was great to finally meet up with you!
The pleasure was all mine. It was great to be able to chat even for a little while at the meet and greet.

@@Snoop12922 2025 won't be happening for me. We are planning a big family trip to Canada
Nice to see you back on the Tube, Snoop. Lotta great pickups. Love that Koufax.
Thanks Jason! Yea, I am making an effort to do more videos.
I'd say you had a great National. Loved the pickups, especially the hof relics. That Ripken is a great looking piece of cardboard. Appreciate you sharing, and hope to see you next year in Chicago.
Absolutely I will be in Chicago. Thanks.

Awesome pickups Snoop, was great seeing you again. Thanks for sharing video of the football HOF.
Thanks Orlando, it was great to see you again even tough we didn't have a lot of time to catch up.
It was great to meet you even if it was very brief. Glad to hear that you will be able to starting making more content soon. We watched your rant video at our Air BnB because some newer guys had not heard of it, still a classic.
It was great to meet you also. Glad you guys enjoyed the rant, don't worry if something pisses me off again there will be another one. lol.

Thanks Eric, I can't wait for Chicago either. Being able to just hang out and chill was the best! Looking foreword to a recap video of yours.

Those Chipper Jones patches are incredible Snoop!
Thanks G-Man, next year in Chicago I get you some beer so you can chill some more with the brothers. lol.
Nice relics really like your collection and Aron’s collection
Thanks bro, I am slowly making progress on a post war hall of fame relic set.
Great pickups Snoop!
Thanks Stuke!

Thanks for the add Mark, I just subbed to you also. I know a lot of collectors that prefer raw over graded but you just have to be careful now.
It was fun getting to have a drink and chat with you in Cleveland. You had some great pickups at the show.
Thanks, I had a blast in Cleveland can't wait for 2025, you know we got to do it again.
That Chipper Patch is Awesome!!! Always good to see ya at the show.
Thanks Brad, seems like the only time we get to see each other is National and we are both puled in different directions. lol.
I do love my raw cards!
You do need to know what you are doing though for sure.

great adds! Love the vintage, and that Chipper patch 😍
Dude you were the first person I thought of after I purchased that card.
@@Snoop12922 haha it’s a great one man!!
Great cards !!
Thanks Bart.
Great cards for a GREAT Price! Man one day I’ll have to pick up one of those EX Dual patch cards.🤩
Thanks Daniel, that was just sheer luck I found that card and at a great price.
Just found your channel. Algorithms right? Great pickups!
Thanks Diamond, I hope you enjoy the channel.
@@Snoop12922 I probably will!
Good times Snoop!!
Absolutely Nate!
Good message. Tables at shows with solely 50s/60s/70s RAW inventory in year 2024 is a little sketchy!

Hendrix all day
Dude that night me and a bunch of guys were all sitting around listening to Hendrix, Clapton, BB King, and others sipping on some bourbon.
