Hi i watched your video and i've got one question:what is your opinnion about Stiga when it comes to quality, strength, resillience and reliabelity?Do you consider him as an alternative to Stihl and Husqvarna?I live in Romania and in my country Stiga is an unknown brand despite the fact that is sold by a few years.
The stiga professional range Brushcutters SBC636, SBC646 and Sbc656 are very good quality machines, my sbc656dx is very resilient to daily working it now has maybe 20 hours so far of mainly forestry shredding and sawing work and it has held up flawlessly. He is a great alternative to Stihl and Husqvarna considering that the equivalent Stihl is £1000 and the same husky £1000 where as the stiga is £379. The stiga doesn’t have quite as many kw as the Stihl or husky but @ 1.7kw for stiga sbc656dx but he is still very powerful and strong for all works. I’m very happy with my purchase. Stiga is the brand that owned old high quality Alpina trimers. Alpina Star 45 for instance. There are many of them that have seen more than 20 years of flawless work. Now, the new Alpina you can buy has a more modern and cheap look and the quality has nothing to do with the old Alpina star series. It's called Alpina by Stiga and is not yellow. This yellow Stiga is a modern equivalent of the old Alpina (star 45, star 55..) brand. So, you can look at it as a brand that does exist for decades, not just a few years. It's just the names are confusing sometimes, and not only with Stiga. You can find many kawasaki licensed trimers that look like a kawasaki, have a kawasaki motor but are not kawasaki brend. Stiga does make one also. An exact kawasaki copy with a kawa engine. This one has a Stiga engine. Very nice machine, and despite not having a ton of Hp it clearly has tons of torque and works like a titan. Thanks to the op for the review. Cheers
