At 5:00 I mention that 'data' is followed by plural verb. In fact, looking at current usage (via concordancers) it seems that both singular and plural verbs are used with 'data', with singular being more common. I think some teachers (and academic journals) may insist on plural verb, since originally 'data' is a Latin plural of 'datum'. But grammar should be descriptive not prescriptive, so unless your teacher (or publisher) insists on plural, it is OK to use either, and probably better to use singular since that is now more common. Thanks to Palesa Rasekoala for pointing out that out to me.

This is super useful! I'm doing my first academic essay for university. I've never had to strictly stick to being objective so it was difficult for me to senetence start. Thanks for this!

Sir, would you like to attach the writing source of this material? Such as book or article journal, so I can reference to those sources in my writing. Thank you

References were in the original webpage that this was adapted from. Link to that page is:
      www.eapfoundation.com/writing/skills/passive/.
I've also added them in the description, below a couple of links.
Hope that helps. Good luck with your writing!

There is no PPT for this video I'm afraid. It was made with animation software.
