I was going to put my Tv in the rubbish then I saw your video. Dismounted and tested the middle diode. Bingo at the first attempt. Very helpful. Thanks a lot
what would cause this tv to not turn off? press power button on remote it turns off and then turns itself back on again and keeps doing that till power button is pressed on remote to keep the tv on.
@@LaptopDisassembly its not the remote since pressing the button does turn it off for a couple of seconds but then it powers back on again. oddly it has remained off last night but not tried turning it on today. i dont use any of its smart functions and its not connected to the internet. its just used for hdmi input from android tv box.

Thanks for this. I tested all 3 diodes and one was dead short. All fixed and working now. You helped me prevent another TV from going in the trash.

Have you try different remote. Also check settings on TV for some power on function. Could be a faulty firmware also.

@@slybunda Just for test. Power it off, and at same time remove the battery of the remote.
