I first heard of Ghost when this came out. My first reaction was "who the hell is this? The song is amazing!" I could tell by his singing it wasn't an American band because of his accent. I fell in love with Ghost and Tobias is an amazing song writer. Seeing Ghost for third time in February with Volbeat. 🤘
All you hear is the sound of Tobias Forge:s genius mind. Ghost is Tobias and only Tobias. On this song he wrote the song and plays all instruments besides the drums.
@@Trevor21230 No. In fact Tobias co wrote a handful of songs together with Martin Persner on Infestissumam and Meliora. And on Prequelle together with Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir. And on Impera Vincent Pontare, Salem Al Fakir , Peter Svensson, Joakim Berg and Max Grahn. But Tobias always has the idea of the song and rhe riffs sorted out first and presents it to his co writing partner who helps him finishing the song. He does this to not be repetitive and get stuck in old habits on how he constructs somgs. It's very easy to do that but with this formula someone can come in and say but if we do like this instead? The final decision is however always Tobias and if he doesn't approve it it's not going to be. Listen to interviews with Tobias and he will tell you more about it.

The music video for this one is a lot of fun, as well. Also, fun fact: Tobias Forge wrote this song for the purpose of having a big, energetic show opener. He said he wanted something that would really feel like it filled the whole venue with energy to start their shows. He also said that the melody for it was basically just copied from another one of his songs and altered a bit lol.

Ghost remind me a little of a late 70s incarnation of an early ‘70s acid rock band like Blue Öyster Cult.
