They are delicious. I have 4 varieties now in Ca. Highly recommended if you grow them in ca because they don’t go bad. As the fruits mature the flavor changes.

    Hello
I am in USDA zone 9B in California. Our winter temp goes down bellow 30 F to 35 F mostly in December January. I love this Indian jujube very much. Do you think it can be grown in my zone? I am in Tracy California. If yes then I will order from Mike. Thank you.

I have the Chinese variety here in north florida. Too cold for Indian here.. i have a sherwood, lang,li, and ga 866. The ga866 is like 40% sugar. They are so sweet some people don't like them! Great video!

I can’t wait to get fruit on mine later this year. And it’s upfront for the fruit bandits. I also had the same problem by not eating them at the right time too and then I learned. I also have the contorted and shanxi li jujube here in Phoenix. I agree they are underrated

I have a mature jujube tree. Fruited after 1 yr in the ground. Vigorous tree. I keep it small like a big bush. Fruits vary in size but taste great once, like you mention, they turn yellowish and/or reddish-brown. The tree is in its Second year fruiting for us and they ripen late January to mid February in zone 10-B in South Florida.
Liked it so much that I bought another tree from Richard Lyons Nursery down here in Miami, FL. I believe that he still has them for sale. Give him a call to ask about availability.

We have this in Sudan ,it's called Persian Nabaq , it's a Sedir tree, it's great for desert areas and also the leaves are used for hair like Henna.

Air layering is great, you have the plant on its original root stock in case of dieback. And small plants cloned by air layering have healthy roots compared to most of the rooted cuttings I have done. I don't consider air layering to be better or worse than grafting, it depends on what your objective is.

Here in Barbados West Indies we call them Dunks. But most of the ones here are filled with thorns & the fruit are not as big or sweet as the cultivars you have there. Can you tell me which Indian cultivar he has growing on his farm.
Also I wish you could make a video or videos on which fruit tree nurseries sell & ship fruit trees or bareroot fruit trees or their scions internationally outside the USA & CANADA. Even if we have to pay for a Phytosanitary Certificate it would allow us outside your territory to get exotic fruit trees like yours fruiting fast & early as opposed to growing by seed which can take forever plus no guarantee of good tasting fruit or substantial fruit production.

We get problems with fruit flies. Mostly they are destroyed by these insects and have maggots in them
