Thank you for this! I would of never thought of slapping together the walls with the boards like you did but not only is it practical and easier but adds a nice touch when painted like that
As one that built his own Voice Over booth, pretty much the same as you. The only thing I would recommend to contain the resinense of the space is, either, Tranangular, or, ripple foam with, top, and side bass block fome.
Wouldn’t you want an air gap to dampen vibration between the two rigid foam pieces?? Like soft foam damper furring strips seems like it wd have improved the STC. Has anyone used Homasote in lieu plywood or drywall as a sheathing? I wd think the Homasote has better sound dampening and is fire resistant. Insulated glass w/ good STC acoustical insulation properties) ratings also has an air gap (or is argon gas filled) vs being laminated together. I think you can buy insulated glazing but it shd have soft gaskets or setting caulk to prevent rattling /vibrations in the frame.
Awesome video, Bob. thanks for blessing us with Gods word in Proverbs 23 : 3 - 4, God bless you!
Thanks
That was really interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it
What are the acoustic properties of that 2" foam? Would it have been better to use some type of fluffy fiberglass for at least one of those layers?
This was excellent 😊 also noticed the Telefunken 251 in the shots there 🎉

Thanks glad I could give you done ideas.

Yes,we added a few more acoustical elements including foam triangles
Great job Bob!
Thanks.
Is that a 251 mic? 🤩
Don’t know they have lots s of cool stuff
What brand of fiberglass insulation is that

Good ideas
Hey Bob, I'm interested in getting something similar built out here in Southern CA. What's the best way to get in contact with you?
How much did you spend in materials?
I have no idea
Where did you get that window
@@tecno8335 Bought the glass at a local glass place to fit the framed opening
