I’m pretty sure drinking water out of a glass with vodka smeared on the rim would NOT taste like vodka. It would taste like drinking water out of a glass with vodka smeared on the rim…
Wise guy
It's like dipping a turd in chocolate, and calling it a snickers bar.
It does, but you'd be surprised how often it fools drunk people.
@@timbert4672 but these were sober people, so your point is mute

I've got potatoes if you want to make a deal. Straight from Florida.
Im about halfway through the video. When does the history of vodka start?
it doesn’t lol this is just a series of random facts about vodka
It's not the history of vodka, it's history that involves vodka.

Unless elephants work differently from us, they were not "kept warm". They were made to feel warmer by the rush of blood to their skin which, in reality, cold you (or the elephant) down, making you feel nice and comfy while you die of hypothermia.
Bro they fooled absolutely nobody just smearing vodka around the rim 💀
A video on everclear would be cool
They did that
@@lawrencetalbot8346 oh cool
A vodka or any alcohol with a high methanol content isn’t always added on on purpose. Methanol is a naturally occurring by-product of distillation. Liquors with high methanol content are most likely due to late cut between the heads alcohol (which is dangerous to drink) and the hearts alcohol (which is what you’re ok to drink).
Worst weird food history ever lol...literally no history or mention how vodka originated in Poland 😂
True, I waited for this fact too. Instead many silly stories about terrorussians
Lol they changed the title of the video 😅
It still is not what i expected.
A good video, but the title is very misleading. Its a bunch of fun facts, not a history.
EDIT: Thank you for changing the title!
The name vodka is a diminutive form of the Slavic word voda (water). And the word voda is Finnish slang for water.
When we moved to Kazakhstan in 2016, i discovered that many of my usual medications were not available at all in the region. Multiple doctors told me "that's what vodka is for"
And? Did the vodka help or not?

Luksusowa is my favorite. And potatoes are what make a true vodka
I heard stinky fish with vodka is great
So, where’s the history?
I could care less about all the useless news clips that mention vodka.
@@stonecodfish2365peepee poopoo
There was no history involved😢
My favorite vodka is Atomik distilled from Chernobyl. Was very pricy to get and sadly they no longer distribute internationally.
They're selling again. Not currently delivering to the US unfortunately, but the Brits can get it.
Where the hell is history of vodka !? And why there's nothing about Poland !?
First time I ever drank vodka was in Łódź in 1994!
I had a polish friend who drank vodka so much by the time he came to America he decided to ask the bartender what was good here and was introduced to bourbon and coke he was delighted R.I.P. Voytec
@@travisguide4516 i prefer whysky ( especially Irish ) and pepsi. I think I never try bourbon yet.
Vodka is pronounced "wadka" after a couple shots. This is an unverified scientific fact.
Do rum next, please!
UPDATE: WHERE is the history? I was expecting to see something about HISTORY.
Try again. Rum has a lovely history. And redo the vodka one.
Kinda too late about redoing it now. I dunno if they ever redo a video in general here
I once recently found a fifth of vodka buried in some grass on my late grandfather’s lot.. best shots and cocktails I’ve ever had that summer
yea... that was vinegar...
@@dunhillsupramk3 You'd have to dilute vodka a lot to make vinegar from it.
This is a good example of people wasting money on studies that should be common sense. The whole drinking alcohol will actually make things worse as you are preventing you body from keeping your core temp as high as it can. While yes losing fingers and such is not good i think going into a endless sleep is worse.
Saying that the area around Chernobyl looks like a Fallout game and meanwhile STALKER is sitting in the corner going "am I a joke to you?"
good video
Not much 'history' this time in a 'Weird History' video.
I was surprised that the freezing point of Vodka is only 16 degrees below zero. I live in the Rocky Mountains in the U.S. 16 degrees below zero is not rare. I can't remember a winter where it didn't get at least 25 below.
Thanks for this! 🥔
4:31 whats up justin! Justin’s tavern is a great channel
I am surprised you missed the McKrokette from the Netherlands! 😅😂
Is this channel owned by Watch Mojo now? This voice sounds eerily familiar.
Yes watch mojo blah blah blah and a female narrator man male narrator😮😢
A+ video!
LOVE IT! Fascinating video about vodka, very interesting and helpful!
Nice video
Elephant or human, drinking alcohol does NOT keep you warm and will actually hasten hypOthermia
You guys should make an entire video of that last story! WTHF
You go from Atomik vodka to saying beware of misspellings on labels being counterfeit. 😂
0:44 I added the film Frozen to my March Watchlist (which is almost full).
It has been recommended at least once from REACT but since it is spotlighted here also I will watch it.
For the video game line, you should have said S.T.A.K.E.R. Lol would have been more fitting
Liquid Nitrogen has joined the chat.

Can you guys discuss about history and varieties of whiskey? Scotch, bourbon, etc.

if you freeze vodka will turn into ice
Ninety Thousand sounds like an average weekend to me.
Now, from one potato in liquid form, can we see how INSTANT MASH POTATOES were formed?
Commercial before episode is SPECs 😂😂😂
It was a neat video of odd things that happened to have vodka involved. However, the video title indicates that the video was going to cover the history of the vodka, which is not the focus of the video. It's probably better to change the video title.
Vodka- my second favorite breakfast
You can actually freeze vodka because it has water in it.
rye whiskey the booze of choice of Canadians
9:04 all my stalkers are angry now
I used to live right by Burnsville MN 😅
Alcohol DOES NOT warm you up. You just feel better when drunk in the cold. Actually, alcohol will cause your body to lose heat WAY faster in the cold, and kill you faster, because it dilates your peripheral blood vessels, causing more heat to escape through your extremities. However, alcohol will help discomfort in the cold if exposed to cold for short a duration. Otherwise consuming alcohol in cold weather is a very bad idea. Alcohol will actually stop and prevent frostbite from occurring if you consume it right before or after being rescued, but then have a warm place to recover in, again because the alcohol will increase blood flow to damaged tissue.
Haven't had a drink in 9 years and when I did drink it was usually Scottish or Irish whisky.
0:47 It's funny that you mention that Vodka will not freeze...
Some students that were on my floor at the University of Missouri, who prided themselves in being "punks," were very proud that they corrected the idea that vodka couldn't freeze (for some reason I thought it did, I was mistaken) and they considered that reason for being too good for the crowd we were around.
They actually took that event and used it as moral proof that they were indeed superior to the large network around us.
Yes, they literally moved their group of punks away because they knew vodka doesn't freeze and...because they knew that fact they could justify not hanging out with basically anyone on an entire floor.
They actually made a crucial life decision, breaking off and failing miserably on their own, on this one vodka fact.
I was almost impressed, the fem narrator is usually stuck with list vids instead of history ones; thought they were promoting her as they simultaneously have the new male narrator replaced the old on the main channel.
But no, the vid isn't history at all and she was forced to lie in the intro.
Oh well.
Yeah , mercenaries , above that female narrator bubble bubble bubblegum , male narrator he hates him when i'm coming so that there's hope you can bullshit blah blah blah blah blah bleh
Vodka freezes, just at a really cold temp.
When I get drunk I get very sleepy so when I decide to get drunk I go buy JD single barrel the only neat thing is I don't get a hangover ever
Except that vodka was invited by the Poles...
Cheers!
Lmfao, thank god I don't have to worry about counterfeit cigs or liquor in the US. It boggles my mind that counterfeit liquor/cigs are even a thing in supposedly "first world countries". God damn britbongs.
Yes vodka not made in Russia is vodka, its a drink older than Russia.

Those people must have never had vodka straight up. Wiping the rim of a glass of water definitely doesn’t taste like drinking vodka. 😂

Is it true that you can improve the quality of vodka with filter pitchers?
It doesn’t improve it it just makes it slightly milder. Which basically is taking away flavor.
The male narrator would have made this one better.

How? There wasn't anything about the history of vodka in this video.

I like to refer to vodka as "a Russian heater" or "Papa Ruski'es cough medicine".
I also like to add vodka to a jug of Sunny Delight and call it "Agent Orange".
The business has to be going badly if one is so desperate as to mix the Russian Ukrainian war into their foods vids..
ABNR
I prefer this narrator, ignore the hate!
3:51 "In 2013 Russia passed some new laws which allowed their police to arrest foreign visitors for being homosexual..." This is a major lie, because there is no such law and you won't be prosecuted for being gay whether you are Russian or a foreigner.
In Florida, on the other hand...
