I built a greenhouse with a cold frame in it and just installed a 440ah battery bank in it with solar panels to run led lights, for growing arugula in winter, in Ontario Canada. I don't want to run the heat in it in the winter, so not sure if arugula would grow in similar temps that you have without additional heat. My cold frame fluctuates from 80F on a sunny day to 32F at night without any electric heat provided. Do you think it would be warm enough in the winter in my cold frame to grow arugula, with only added electrical lights?

I would be concerned about germination rate at the low temp, but once its germinated it could tolerate a little cold. One reference states that Arugula will germinate down to 40F. The LED lights that I am using give off a little heat and on really cold nights I cover the frame with a blanket. Never hurts to try it out and see what happens. Good luck. Thanks for watching.
