As someone who races RC boats and have dealt with Li-Po battereis, Li-Fe and Li-Ion batteries for years, I can tell you that Li-Po is by far the most unsafe of the bunch. They are more powerful, deliver more voltage per cell etc. but they are also the most sensitive to chemically breaking down, over-discharge damage and fires from overheating. I think they are relatively safe and I have no qualms having the house full of them, but to say that they are safer than Li-Ion? No. The safe option is the Li-Fe. Almost impossible to catch on fire and have a much greater tolerance for over-charging, drain etc.
Just a quick FWY. They chose Li-Po because they are strong cells with a high C rating. The C rating is why they can charge much faster.

@@fr4gs702 now that I think about it, at that volume you won't get more than 5 to 6 hours. If you playing half court it should be fine, full court it would probably work but obviously a little more power wouldn't hurt. The 310 may be the way to go for full.

You guys like to try and stump me don't you? That's a tough question. The lighting is so cool on the 110 and it's highly portable. The 310 just has bigger sound, if I had to pick one I personally would pick the 110 for it's portability, only because I have a nice home stereo. If I need something more for in the house I'd pick the 310. Hope this helps and thanks for the question.

It would be fine, it's not the loudest out there but it's decent at 160 watts. If you want more power and you don't need a battery I would go with something else. You're spending a lot on a battery it sounds like you may not need. There are units twice as loud, with great sound for around the same price without a battery. This is a Portable speaker and you're paying for the portability.

      I know the reson!
      They use very strong Amps!
They make them so strong that they can easily power a Subwoofer!
      But that sucks!
They have to use limitations and that ruins the whole speaker!

I know I hate it. It's gotta be a battery saving thing because jbl makes woofers that can handle the juice. Maybe it's the only way to make the battery last. I have a Partybox 1000 coming tomorrow, that has no battery. Last time I tested one, it did the same thing. There really is no excuse. The 1000 goes down to 30hz, should be fun.
