    I can now see why KK was the best member of this band. You can already feel the tension here with their rank and file. He also stood by Dave despite the allegations. The others just erased him from their history which goes to show you the kinda people they are. Dave Holland RIP.

      KK was pretty chill but unfortunately his ego got pushed to the side by Glenn's bigger ego, it seems. Especially in the 80's.

    Woman at 5:00: ''Do you feel heavy metal will always be around or eventually fade away?''
    32 years later....
    Judas Priest release Firepower, their 18th studio album. The album smashes through the Billboard 200 at No.5 and sells a storming 49,000 copies in the United States alone in the first week and also goes to the Top 10 Album Charts in the UK (they only achieved this once more only 38 years before with British Steel). The band then went on an epic world tour although interrupted by the COVID-19 situation.
    2021: Judas Priest are working on their next album. Meanwhile their biggest rivals Iron Maiden are set to release their next album (being their 17th studio album) as well.
    How's that for heavy metal fading away??

    • @DethMachineX_
      @DethMachineX_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Solid. I think that that’s a stupid question honestly because if there’s a buncha metalheads, then heavy metal’s not going to fade away? Hell no.

    • @vinaymulukutla358
      @vinaymulukutla358 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@cederickforsberg5840 I don’t have an answer to that question but it is still relevant in how Judas Priest are still around more than three and a half decades later for the original (and rather dumb) question about heavy metal fading away asked in the video, even though Priest, Maiden, Metallica etc will retire in a few years. Black Sabbath and Motörhead are already done.
      But you’re more than doing your bit in keeping heavy metal/power metal alive with your own projects, especially Blazon Stone.

      De acuerdo con que debería estar ahí por supuesto. Pero decir que fue el mejor batería de la banda....discrepo. Igual fue el batería que necesitaba la banda en ese momento con su toque sencillo, efectivo y sin artificios pero no era el mejor ni de lejos. Las canciones del painkiller simplemente no hubiera podido tocarlas y las que hacía de la década de los 70 las simplificaba enormemente. Para mí el mejor batería que tuvo la banda fue Les Binks. Muchísimo más técnico y preciso (compara las versiones de victim of changes, sinner o exciter del live in Japan con lo que hacía Holland) por otra parte Scott Travis no es tan técnico como Binks pero tiene una pegada increíble. Otro batería enormemente superior aunque solo estuvo en un disco es el increíble Simon Phillips....en fin que no. Holland estuvo bien y fue adecuado para cierto tipo de temas pero no fue el mejor batería que tuvieron los Judas. (En mi opinión por supuesto).
