Great quote, "How can THIS make us feel like THAT?" That's the power of Atsushi Sakurai, probably the most captivating frontman J-Rock ever produced (it's not just my hyperbole, btw)
I love how Atsushi's sex appeal is so strong that you can feel it when he's just standing there. He's magnificent.

I really like Buck-Tick specially Kagerou, this song was incredible
You didn't seem, and you're not obsessed with Bowie. As an ancient Bowieman, I also immediately recognized in Sakurai a fan of Bowie's work. Yes, and he himself is like a lifetime reincarnation of Bowie, only with an admixture of his other favorite idols - such as Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) and Siouxsie Sue (Siouxsie and the Banshees) and Dave Venian (The Damned). All these vocalists had a rare charisma and sex appeal, they were natural charismatics of the goth rock scene (the one that is closer to punks, and not modern vanilla gothic metal). Sakurai - as a result of a mixture of all this in one bottle.
Atsusi Sakurai (the vocalist) is a fan of David Bowie and even made a cover of "Space oddity" in his solo work.
Buck-Tick are a major influence to the younger Japanese musicians. Atsushi is one of a kind, indeed. You should see him in his younger age. My favorite from his early '90s look is a song, called "Kiss me goodbye", but this particular live no longer exist on youtube. I like the dark themes in the lyrics, they are sometimes very creepy and sexual, but in a beautiful way.

@@zzevonplant I watched it along with all the other concerts during the pandemic youtube live streams BUCK-TICK did this year. It was amazing, because it's rare to see a whole show. One of my biggest joys at those times. I have some things for personal use, but when i want to show it to other people, like for example to do a reaction video, not everything is online. I'm wondering, is there anywhere the solo concert of Atsushi 2004 i believe? Only 1-2 songs can be found here.

I didn't know they did live stream concerts this year either :O I hadn't heard about it at all.
I really wish I could find one of their T-shirts, but the only ones I have found are like $100 and you can't even really see what it looks like before buying it (b/c the person selling it has it in the package folded up still) and I can't afford $100 shirts lol. And then everything else I have found are just weird knock-offs :/ I have a few Dir en grey and Sukekiyo shirts left (my ex wouldn't give me most of my shirts back when I left him, he was horrible), but I got those all from concerts and I've definitely never had the chance to see Buck-Tick, so I wish there were more for sale online.
But yeah I'll look around for his solo shows and send it to you if I find it. Was his solo music as good as B-T's music? I would think anything with Atsushi singing would have to be pretty good.
