  • Join me as I return to the newly renamed Bristol project for a construction update as the zoo expands since the closure of the old site last September. During this update I get to see one of the first new enclosures for Nilo, a red panda and also get the chance to review the plans for the new African forest exhibit that will be home to the Western Lowland Gorillas who are still residing at the old Bristol zoo site in Clifton. As well as the construction update there will be a complete animal tour of the whole park touching base with all your animal favourites including the giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, geladas and so much more.

These animals are amazing. I saw a whole family of the Red River Hogs at the London zoo, too.
I am very impressed with how that entire area has been developed for the animals.

Hi Gwen, thank you again. Sorry I have just got back from further travels with limited Internet access. You are very lucky to see a family of red River hogs. I believe that Bristol has given home to another one, a female so hopefully we’ll see the patter of tiny little red river hog feet. 😂. Thanks again for watching and your support take care and hopefully we’ll catch up soon.

Thanks Steve! Yes, that animal does look like he borrowed Tina Turner's wig. 😂
They have some animals there that I don't think I have seen before.
I'm glad they have something there for the bees, too. Bees are important. They have returned to a flowering bush in my backyard (garden). Looks like a bit of walking for you, but I'm sure it's worth it!

Hi Gwen, thanks again for watching and your kind comments. The Geladas always bring a smile to my face as I imagine the Tina Turner connection in my eyes.😂 You’re very right the environment is just as much important to the insects as well and the Bristol zoo project has done such a great job in their environments. The walking is not too bad quite central to be honest but it’s worth it to see all these amazing animals in the natural environment.
