1. Choose pot at least 18inch wide
2. 50% mud + 30% vermicompost + 20% sand
3. Choose lemon plant that has been grafted, not grown from seed
4. Keep in a place where there is sunlight for 6-7 hours everyday
5. Pluck off existing fruit as we need plant to focus on growing, not on fruit at the beginning.
6. 20 days after getting the plant from nursery , gently dig the soil around the plant
7. Water only when soil is dry
8. At flowering stage put mustard khali water
9. Once the flowers start.converting into fruit, then put the mustard khali again.

I have lemon plants in 20 ltrs paint buckets. Both fruiting but lemons takes time to turn yellow. Otherwise all good, i hardly bought lemon from market since last one year.
I am using epsom salt, bone meal, dap, npk, compost + neem cake. Plants are full of lemons.
