Perhaps Bowler Motors should take over conducting regular servicing of Land Rovers here in Japan as they typically take 4 days just to do an oil change.
That displays absolute integral rigidity of the vehicle……. and amazing to see the superb job done by your technicians to rebuild it after that devastating crash !
Congratulations !

Truly amazing - I respect the mechanics for persuading their boss that they should work all night, and for working all night, to stay the race!
Good grief, what an amazing job to do that so quickly, it seemed almost impossible
The suspension was smashed and everything
Way to take a hit and keep going - wow!
It’s a pity they can’t work like that LR dealerships
I'd love to see Landrover enter the Paris/Dakar rally. Mainly to see if the vehicle runs long enough to roll of the starting grid before it TOTALLY breaks down 🙈🤪🤣😂
Like the two 300 series landcruisers in latest Dakar both DNF one didn't even make it 100ks 🤣
Does the defender Bowler vehicle have air suspension on it ?
Started as a base spec 90 with coils. Bilstein shockers were fitted
@@hypotheticallywhatiskyle ah, thanks, so no camel trophy type event in the near future using Air springs.?
Is that the same Dave Marsh that worked at QT Services?
I’ll bet the crew claimed some beers from the driver after the event😁 … given that he crashed THEIR vehicle!
Wow, based on the title of this video you'd think this vehicle had some serious damage to it. Only thing with even moderate damage was primarily the hood, fender and radiator, everything else was light scuffs. I'm sure the Defender structure is as good s any other car mfgr, but this was NOT a true test of the structure, it's more like you rear ended somebody at around 25 mph
No matter how good or bad the new Discovery Utility is, sorry new Defender, I still wouldn't buy one. Nice to see a proper Land Rover Defender dragging the damaged vehicle off! 😂
How to unkill a Range Rover. This would have made a great couple with top Gear's Toyota pickup
This was a stripped down defender. This is definitely a testament of the bowler engineers and mechanics, but NOT because of the base Defender. If they did this with any other brand car, the results would be similar in my opinion.
There’s a reason why Bowler picked the Defender. It helps if you know what you’re talking about 😉
He specifically stated it’s because of the strength of the base vehicle combined with their own engineering
Just an incredible repair in such a short time and everyone can continue ! However, the music was, imo, totally unnecessary.
Matt Amstrong ain't got nothing on them!
Shame the vehicle electronics are not as robust as the vehicle. I guess it doesn’t matter much for a rally (with massive support), but it does matter off road in the real world. Great town/motorway car though.
Sadly it seems to be the main issue holding them back. It would be good if land rover could bring out a defender 90 with very few electronic gizmos, all it needs is simple diff locks front and rear and centre, basically a modern series 3. It would be a lot cheaper too. Maybe one day who knows
@@johnthompson9896 Ineos Grenadier already did that. And still people moan about the compromises that are required for a real 4wd.
@@davidkelly3779The grenadier is heading towards being a massive flop. It’s almost as expensive as a Defender & there’s presently 90 demonstrators for sale on Auto Trader. The dealers can’t shift them.
It’s not as basic as people think. That BMW engine has 35 electronic sensors on it alone. The gearbox is fully electronically controlled & there’s no manual option
What a daft comment. There’s literally hundreds of owners saying they’ve had no trouble from their Defenders.
That Bowler one is running all the electronics because they’re integral to the vehicle.
Lol....🥴🥴🥴🥴
Good vid but turn the shite music off.
I am still trying to digest how these mechanics completed so much in less THAN 24 Hours!!! Outstanding!
