In this episode we visit Norse religion and the world of Asgard. Learn how to create the massive helmet of Hela - godess of death and easily throw together the costume itself as well.

wow.... that was like the most perfect solution to this helmet!! all the tutorials i've seen struggle with the horns being too heavy to be supported by the skull cap, kudos!
Yes this was the only way I could think of that was shapable and light weight :D

Really cool, but how are all of those branches of the helmet staying on with just some hot glue and patching? I've made headpieces like this and props from the same materials and they fall apart as soon as you start moving around :(

very cool! i did this make-up few years back (2012 to be exact) for Halloween while trick or treating with a a few friends. i was trying to make fake blood, but couldn't find anything on making fake blood, so i had to use what i had. i used vampire blood and some black paint to get a very dark red shade. not the greatest, but it was fun to make

What do u call that black adhesive cardboard?
Looking to see if this will help in my construction of Treebeard. Similar as I need multiple branches and bark on the piece. Foil is a great idea! Will use it for the smaller branches. For the larger ones I have styrofoam ring and swimming noodles. Made a gelatine prosthetic for the face, but as it is quite melty after about 1/2 hr, I may be using foam/cloth for the mask as well. Will certainly be lighter and longer lasting than gelatine, but the details..... gonna have to figure that one out! Thank you for the tips!

What is the material to make a head?
Wowzer!! amazing done! What kind of hot glue you used? Seem like its strong one. I used some hot glue and most are garbage! (fall apart so easily) Any recommend on which hot glue to use? :)
Just a little reminder: Always be careful when crumpling foil or working with it in general as it can cut you :)
Never had that problem but yes it can get sharp :)
