Ommadawn is my all time favourite album, I've been listening to it for 25 years now and it never fails to move me, it's such a beautiful record. Thank you mike for making this gem

It seems like the guitar is off at the beginning, but I used to work these kinds of live events and it's probably not off. Depending on where in the venue that they're taking the recording, and where the guitar sound is coming from, it can seem like the guitar is off a beat or so due to sound bouncing off the walls and whatnot.
what a masterpiece - the only problem: too short!!!!!!!! Unluckily, in the acoustic part, mike doesn't seem to hear his monitor - or, the mixing was a failure because of the synchronisation of the strings (different delay times) or the monitor was mixed in instead of the original
Solo falto Jabula.....epico!!!! De extraordinaria calidad. Pero sin comparar con obras creadas por ejemplo: Basil Poledouris...Riddles Of Steel este ultimo es sin duda alguna lo maximo y sublime!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible that the acoustic guitar was delayed almost a whole beat. This ruined what could have been a really superb performance. It is a terrible pity that he would have had a really short time limit so he had to take out bars all over the place which also damaged the affect. But after that the arrangement and playing was outstanding - and so glad that Mike was motivated to return to this work - up there with the two musical peaks Hergest Ridge and Incantations.
ok I just started watching the video... - but could the fucking camera please not move so fast, and stay on Mike Oldfield when he is playing the guitar?!? - I would have enjoyed it more even if it was taken all in one shot, from one angle not moving it all, just watching MO...
Lol did they mess up delay on the guitar? The first stroke is much weaker than the delayed one. It makes it appear like Mike is playing is shite... :/ And it does not sound good.

Knebworth was amazing! Pierre Moerlen's rythm section made it an epic! Yes, Mike appeared to be playing behind the beat on this NOTPs, even when playing the cruscendo ending.
No me gusta esta versión, le falta tensión y está muy comprimida; pierde mucho, causa en mí una sensación de coitus interruptus. Además me parece que no está muy ensayada, porque la guitarra de Mike Oldfield no está acordada con la orquesta. Hay versiones en vivo de esta pieza bastante más interesantes

No es que no este ensayada sino que Mike tiene el Delay de la guitarra mal configurado,el si va a tiempo lo que el delay lo estropea todo.

I disagree, he performed very well at Knebworth in 1980 and on his "Exposed" tour. Those concerts were exhilarating and fun.
