Asian Games is equal to the Olympics but only for Asian countries. The opening ceremony was all Indonesian talents (dancers, singers, coreographers etc.). The first dance is from Aceh, one of the regions in Indonesia, called Ratoeh Jaroe, involved about 1600 highschool students. It was said they practiced for about 8 months, if not mistaken. Btw, at almost the end, when you said Kpop singers to the 4 singers singing the english song (bright as the sun), they're not Kpop singers, they are Indonesian singers. 2 of the male singers are from 2 well known Indonesian bands, D'massive & Noah. the girl and the other guy are solo singers. The closing ceremony was held a few days back actually, on 2nd September, there were other artists besides indonesian artists (India n Korea (kpop idols iKon & Super Junior). All songs are different languages (dilect), i ymyself from indonesia only understand 1 song from it. So its around 4-5 languages. We actually have hundreds of dilect languages, so this is nothing really.All are traditional songs remixed into modern. The fire part is the famous balinese dance, it symbolizes the fire thats burning in each athletes. The last performance is our hope in the future in our economy to be and innovative country.
