Built for edc folding elephant toenail trimmer. Some guys use them as climbing spikes driven into trees to get to your deer stand, very compact and easy to pack. Also this is the knife you hand your friends when they ask to borrow your knife, as it's unlikely they will damage it.
Understand where your going but without a cilp and I hate clips it sets in your hand like a roll of quarters. Blade closed and you have a very hard hitting fist. Close to brass knuckles in the power of the punch. It beats out the brass knuckles by being multiple use tool.

I'm the kind of knife enthusiast that might not carry this for everyday use but would consider it my favorite knife I own. That thing is sick and looks like it would make short work in a fight against Thor with his whimpy hammer. That blade would be perfect on the end of a wooden rod, and scaled to a ft thick version, to be carried like a sword in case you come across a jedi that pulls out their light saber on you. Bring it!

The blade will always stay straight when folded. You can use it as a pry bar. I can imagine the reaction from the police if they stop you for questioning on a routine matter.
Not if you're in a red state...colt 1911 and 6" Full Tang blade on my back hip are my EDC In public everyday...I've pulled over and helped officer's remove abandoned vehicles restricting traffic with my EDC and NEVER had any problems. Gave um a firm handshake and told them thank you for your Service. Not our fault you Chose to live in a Police state...
I laugh, every time you put it down it was like, "THUD!" It could be practical if you need an emergency anchor for your boat, a block to keep your car from rolling, possibly if you need to throw it at a charging bear, you could knock it out! LOL It is just completely RIDICULOUS and hilariously useless. Its one of those things when someone asks why, the answer is - Because we could.
Regarding its practical application. I would seriously consider this knife. It seems to be perfect for extracting arrows from a wooden target. Or, rather, from a wooden frame of a target - I mean, who would shoot deliberately to wooden targets on a regular basis?
I have Cold Steel's SR1 Lite tanto, and that's 4.8mm/0.189in thick and it's considered a beefy boy. This is 0.390in/9.9mm, which is about twice as thick. That's impressive.
Seen this and it's up my alley currently. Not sure if I'll go for this one after I encounter the enormity of a medford. Beautiful knife. Cracked me up when you realized the weight of the blade would make anything drop shut. Would love to try one out.

@@diagonal3715 it folds. The pivot is the weakest part. It's also way too thick and short to do it efficiently. Not only is it the wrong choice, it's a ridiculous choice.
Make something like this, but slightly longer, with a slightly thinner blade. Also, have sacrificial bronze inserts and bearings, and make all mating surfaces for the liner lock easily replaceable. What this would result in, is a folder that one could baton with, without trashing the knife. Take it out, thrash the hell out of it, and if you come back from your trip and the blade is too loose, then just replace the inserts, and you're as good as new!

Great for camping or field travel. It is wide enough to use a piece of wood and pound the back of the knife for making good fire kindling or breaking down wood for burning....
If it’s stout enough I could see it complimenting a tree feller’s load out when heading into the bush. Could chop through some undergrowth, or even as a wedge. I bet the lockout would not like that scenario!
Portable pry bar that you can make short work of opening your Amazon delivery… and “jimmy” (snap the dead bolt) on a door in an escape room…makes complete sense! I can see what they were thinking! 👍

The price is probably outrageous, but I’d have one and carry it all the time. I carry the CRKT M16-14Z and have for years, but would take one of those in a heartbeat. But then I live way out in the boonies in West Texas.

In most video games, bosses use this type of weapon and wreck your absolute shit. Then you get this from their corpse and you can't believe how little it actually does. Then you just keep it in the inventory to look at, maybe whip it out on some low level schmuck, but it couldn't possibly be a heavy hitter against real threats. That being said, I'd STILL TAKE IT. Love it. Do I need one? Absolutely not. Do I want one? Absolutely yes. If used for defense knife the assalter should worry more about being beat to death opposed to be stabbed to death.

It's huge and slow, and won't efficiently puncture because of how much material you're having to push through whatever you're pushing it through. The vast majority of blades will never ever see combat. Most aren't designed for that.

This is clearly a gravity knife. as in, there is just so much mass it has its own gravitational pull. Anything unfortunate to get close enough will inevitably be cut clean in half as it accelerates towards the blade.
That is a very useful, what are you talking about? Chiseling ice, braking , freeing marrow, wedging and splitting. If blade is sharp and resilient it will cut. It is for cutting horn. Its the perfect to go chopper.
Na. The tools meant for this stuff have literally been around for hundreds if not thousands of years. This knife will do a worse job in any scenario. You basically have to force it into those roles. Can it do it? Sure. Is it the best choice? Not even close. Laughable.
This has nothing to do with this knife but do you remember the( Kobalt / By Lowes Hardware,) knife that had a blade on one side and a razor blade on the other end. This was a great knife and just disappeared . Any info would be great. Thanks
If wasn't a folder, could use as a splitting wedge. Neat & interesting as a 'curio. Found an interesting- 3-1/4 in. Damascus blade w/pear shaped full-tang for $85 at gun&knife show. Fits my mitt well and IMO looks good.
Yes, that knife is a magnificent work of art. Aside from that, you are woefully shortsighted if you are unable to fathom any practical use for this knife.
It's definitely not a practical knife in every aspect but maybe for a Hulk. It is able to perform cutting but block your eyes with the thick blade. It is able to perform breakthrough but with tiny chance. It is able to perform swinging but you have to do some exercises for days in advance. The only reason why it is made is perhaps to make people scary as well as demonstrate somewhat unbreakable which is a symbol for "HE".
A novelty for sure...and an expensive one, but this is 'Murica and we are known for our excesses like the Hummer. Useful? Maybe for a giant person. Or, to chop wood. If you don't have an axe. I like it.

I think Harbor freight has a tool that you insert this into so you can split logs also.

That is the perfect knife for me I hate how light knives are now. I prefer large heavy knives and I can see a lot of uses for that knife.

Do you even *need* to use the thumb stud, or can you just flip it out to open it, because of the weight of the blade? Looks pretty practical to me.

Nice detail how the gymping on the blade spine alligns with the gymping on the body when it’s open.
