Finally someone made a good video about the regional passes!
I was looking for this kind of info since I got the news of the new prices.
Thanks for sharing this info, and for the great video! It will be very useful for planning my next trip!

Thanks so much for this video! My wife and I are in the process of organising our trip and had written off Kanazawa from our list of areas to go visit because it looked like it could be a pain to organise getting there. The Hokuriku Arch Pass seems like the perfect way for us to travel! We've now included Kanazawa into our plan. Also we have the Kissaten's on the list thanks to your Tokyo Creative video, can't wait to enjoy the coffee!

As someone has also mentioned, finally decent information about rail passes. Good research and planning prior to a visit is an absolute must. As a fellow Brit I must admit I’m rather envious of Japan’s railway network 😂 great video Jordan keep up the excellent work

Well done young man, well done! Someone who has put together a sensible video about different rail passes.

What an awesome video, Jordan, thank you! 💖 I'm not a part of any J-travel communities but this video needs to be shared in those places for sure!
Since the news broke out I've seen so many videos breaking down the price differences and speculating why this happened and what's going to change but no one offered any alternatives!
I can only imagine how long it took you to research all of this and then make such a fun video to go along with it. I know editing in all those memes must have been a bitch but I so appreciate it, I was legitimately laughing my entire way through while also learning tons 😁

I am lucky enough to travel again to Japan around August 1st to the 21st so I will most likely get the JR pass since its under the 300$. My question is, how bad is Japan during Obon? Some sites say 13-15, some say 13-16. Considering taking a 3 day trip to Korea during that time. Also did not know you had a separate YT channel, instant sub!

Honestly Japan is hell during GW and Obon. Obon is pretty much humid af and there are people everywhere lol I’d deffo dip to Korea but tickets might be more experience if ya going from Japan

I'm definitely a Chad Heavyweight backpacker. Though I do not recommend traveling with a roll-up piano. It basically amounts to a heavy block of rubber, that takes up so much space.
"Oh! I'll teach myself piano while traveling", is the single most dumbest idea I've ever had.

Thank you for the awesome video Jordan~
It's not like I had any detailed plans set for traveling to Japan before the price change was announced but it has definitely influenced what little I did plan, Thank you for the very informative video
The Kansai wide area pass seems like it would be a good choice for my travel needs
Thank you for all your hard work, Loved the editing, Keep it up m(_ _)m
I hope your having a lovely day, Have a wonderful rest of your week, Be safe and Take care out there wherever you are (^=W=^)7
    And you too fellow viewer~
Also that light feature is crazy cool (I doubt it'd last long if I had one like that lol)

Isn't just more convenient to buy the card with penguin? That doesn't work with every train? Or only with subways?

    • @kammymarie13
      @kammymarie13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It's called Suica, and it is super convenient but not always the most cost effective option. These passes tend to make each ride cheaper in the long run than if you paid for each ticket individually.
